321-244-2876 Male caller asked for me, by name, then told me I had been selected to win a free Android phone, but first he wanted to see if I was eligible. He asked me if I was married or single and I promptly told not to call the number anymore and hung up.

321-244-2876 is a f'in phishing scam.  
Time to close it down.

Same thing happened to me, only my accounts with WF have been closed for a year. The automated phone recording just called me at almost midnight, and scared the crap out of me. My phone never rings this late, so I was afraid it was an emergency.

The recording said my Wells Fargo debit card was limited and press 1 to reactivate. I didn't press 1 and the call dropped a few seconds later.

Forward the text messages to reportphish@wellsfargo.com  This goes to their fraud department.  I have recieved several text messages asking me to call different numbers. Never give out any personal info to this phone number.  Good luck :)

this number was sent to me via text...said they were wells fargo...they are not

I've received 2 of these sms on my phone also. If it is a Cricket customer doing this,Can Cricket track their account and prosecute them and cancel their account? Something needs to be done. I worry about elderly people and others that are innocent
of scams getting took. They need to be in jail.

I get these about every day. They're really starting to piss me off cause I know they're spam; I'm not stupid enough to even try and call cause I've heard about these. Where you call and it wants you to put in your card info. Not going to happen I just want it to stop!!!! Anyone know how?!?!?!

Looks like a big-ol-scam to me.
I didn't call the number but I am reporting it to Wells Fargo and my cell phone provider (T-Mobile)

Everytime my husband calls my cell phone, I get a text message with this phone number telling me to call regarding my Wells Fargo account -- I don't bank with them.  I'm wondering how this has tagged onto calls from a Cricket cell phone.

do not respond to these texts as someone else said earlier the banks will not text you I called the number just to see what it was and they want you card number and the last of your social sec number and one other piece of your info. the bank said that they use those numbers because a lot of cards start with those numbers they just hope someone takes the bait. Makes me mad but I hope no one falls for this please tell your friends kids co workers anyone with a phone F those people

I did, in fact, follow up on this using the info exactly as you related in your message.  "Your debt card information has been successfully updated."  Well, I do not have a Wells Fargo debit card or any other account with this bank.

I knew this was a phishing expedition right away as no bank is going to text this. Besides, I don't have any Wells Fargo accounts. I came online to google the number and found this thread already reporting the fraud. I hope they don't get anybody with this phishing expedition.  :-(

same thing just happend to me too... both my cricket cell phone and on my broadband cards. Please avoid calling these people!

Just did the same thing on another text message fishing scam that I got earlier today as well. Imagine my suprise when the bogus card information I inputed into their system was also verified. They were even nice enough to "UNLOCK" my card privleges for me. lol

ty! that was the most fun i've had w/scammers in a while! too bad it was all automated instead of a real person!!! you rock!!!!

Okay, I need everyone to call that number. 321-244-2876, but first, use *67, then dial the number normally, only using 1 if you are calling from a landline. *67 blocks the number you are calling from. When asked for your card number, use 4111-1111-1111-1111, use 0000 for last four of SSN, 07 99 for card expiration date, and 1111 for PIN number. lol Maybe when these a***oles get nothing but BOGUS information from callers, they will get the message that people are on to them. By the way, my BOGUS CC information was successfully verified. Imagine that. lol

Gotten two texts to my Cricket phone with the same exact information as above..  I don't even have a Wells Fargo account..  THIS IS FRAUD!!!  Do not respond and do not fall for this..  Contact your bank directly..

I GOT TWO OF THESE AND I STARTED TO RESPOND AND DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE AREA CODE, AND WENT AHEAD AND RESPONDED AND THEN THOUGHT BETTER OF IT AND I CONTACTED MY BANK WELLS FARGO, AND THANKFULLY THEY HAVE SOME BRANCHES OPEN ON SUNDAY, SO WENT TO THEM AND THEY CHECKED THIS AND ITS A  ((((( SCAM ))))) !!!!!   ALSO NO MONEY WAS SNAGGED FROM MY ACCT.             THE TEXT WAS THIS VERBATIM;  wells @fargo.com / limited / contact: 321-244-2876  (43425810WellsFargoAccountLimited)     THIS IS TOTAL BS FOLKS  BE AWARE OF SCAMS AND PHISHING.

Same exact thing happened to me -- my new cell phone number is not listed with my bank--also Wells Fargo, somehow my phone# and the first part of my bank card got paired and I received more than one text message claiming that my bank card needs to be verified due to the high incidence of fraud involving all cards with the same first 6 numbers.  The recording then asks for SS #, PIN #, and Card #.  Enough to really cause problems.

Sad thing is I almost didn't catch the discrepancies, called my bank and reported this, and insisted on changing all my account info, immediately.

Wells Fargo has heard of this scam, however could not provide any further help.

This number keeps on txting me asking for me to call it back saying their is a problem with my Wells Fargo account. I don't even have a Wells Fargo. I believe its a scam when I call the number to tell them to stop txting me its just a recording saying to enter in personal info.

Got a text to "contact (321) 244 2876. 423425810 well sF" no idea what it is for, did not respond. Looks like the text came from "503@att.net"

Tex messaged me -twice! Left message 801334@sms.mycriket.com - something about my wellsfargo bank account and then 321-244-2876 - called to see what was up - just paid my phone account online.  They wanted me to re-activate my debit card by giving them my last 4 digits of my ss# - They even said they were with Wellsfargo bank. But I knew something fishy was up!  Glad I hung up on them! Beware this is a scam!!

I got a message on my phone saying to call this number also about my bank account.  My bank says its not one of their numbers! Yuck!

I got a text message with this a contact number about my bank account issues.. When I called my bank personally this is NOT a bank number.. So if they want any personal info.. Don't give it out!!!
