Its a a collection agency tracking scam

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the LA County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1. I have called the number.  It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there?s information on www.cafop.org . Plus, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for LA County police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.

I asked the solicitor what % actually went to the police and he told me 27%. He also spoke in generalities and did not mention a particular law enforcement agency. When I donate directly to LAPD charities here in L.A., I can be assured that 100% goes to charity for officers and their families. This outfit takes 73% of each dollar. IMO, these people are stealing from police  officers who need charity. These people at 323-208-3944 are slime.

Not a scam but they are a rip off. They raise monies for charities but they take 80-90% while giving 10-20%. If thats not a rip-off i dont know what is.

whats wrong with calling the customer service number?  If you think its a scam, you can talk to them and realize its NOT!!  They are calling from The LA county FOP, charitable organization.

It's not a scam.  I donate to the fop once a year.  Sometimes I can do more, sometimes I can't. You can donate to them over the phone or online...they will also send you stuff in the mail.  its actually the LAFOP.
