I tried calling every number I could find on M Haynes and Associates and all ask for a code to get through.

Obviously a scam company.  They should spend as much time on a real job.

you do not follow the law scumbag - over a 10 year old debt you are trying to collect--good luck on that in the commonwealth of pennsylvania--you will be paying me money when i sue your a**..

If you dont want to be contacted, don't associate yourself with scumbags who dont pay their bills. We follow state and federal law in the financial service industry.

The message you are "quoting" me as leaving is inaccurate.

You can file a complaint with anyone you would like to, at the end of the day we adhere to all laws... But considering you have a lot of time on your hands, feel free to do whatever you would like.

As for paying the creditor direct... Creditors sell debt after as little as 6 months of non payment. Once they sell it, they can not take payment. You would have to pay the new owner of the account...

Just received a call from Tom Hazel, 864-252-8408, a mediator representing M Haynes and Associates on my voicemail for a relative.  "Yes it was an urgent matter, that I have my relative contact them immediately before legal action blah blah."  Not sure if he should have disclosed this information to me, calling Arkansas Attorney General's Office tomorrow to file a compliant.  BTW the account was not a joint account nor did I co-sign, dont have a clue why Tom Hazel called me, except to harass me and embarass my relative.  From the other comments, guess I need to get his "current" mailing address, if I do I will post for all.

Oh and something I was taught years ago, never ever pay these guys anything, not one red cent. Should you decide to pay your account, pay your original creditor, these type of companies purchase your charged off accounts and then attempt to colllect.  Know your rights!

Just got a call from 401-280-1373 representing M. Haynes attempting to collect an EXTREMELY old debt (years beyond statute of limitations) by seeming to threaten a lawsuit.  A little research seems to indicate the address on S. Angell is a UPS Store location, so good luck finding any REAL info on this fishing expedition.

The South Carolina's Attorney Generals office has just attempted to send them a complaint for resolution and they advised me the address is no good.

Im glad you have woken up from your hibernation bear.... I wouldn't encourage people to be a scum bag like yourself and not pay your bill... I paid a bill with them that was on my credit report and everything was handled professionally. My acct was 6 years old but I live in a state with a 10 year statute. Thanks for your advice bear... I'll opt to pay my bills though.

Received a letter from a Michael Haynes & Associates, LLC saying that I owe a debt from a credit card from well over 10 years ago. In the letter it is signed by a "Peter Brunson" with a phone number of 888-416-7173. The phone number of 323-325-8929 that they call from is a magic jack number from a woman named Chelse Ryan. She states that she is from a "mediation department" There is a number of 888-416-7173 on the letter that was sent out which has a voice mail set up for Tom Hazel. And the company's website is horrible http://contactmha.com/ .

Don't waste your time with these idiots let alone send them any money.
