Dude keeps contacting me via SMS trying to give him my location and a PayPal address this has got to be a scam. Wants to "arrange" for my ATV to be picked up by his contact and wire me the funds via PayPal. Yea sure right i was born yesterday. Told him cash only face to face transaction, or he can stop contacting me.

Same thing just happened to me.  Claims he's buying it for his cousin. Wants my Paypal email.  With this many people posting about this same cell number, can't the police catch him?  Thanks to all of you for posting - probably saved me a lot of time and hassle!

Yep, received a text from this # asking about my camper for sale. I def. won't reply.  Love the fact you can search and confirm that these guys are spammers.

WANTED TO PAY THROUGH PAY PAL FOR A CAMPER I HAVE FOR SALE ON CRAIGSLIST. NEW IT WAS FAKE RIGHT AWAY.

also received texts from this number about boat I listed on craigslist...... strange

I have a trailer for sale on CL, a big one a freight carrier may want. Just received a text from him and my new policy is to google all the numbers that text me before responding... Glad I did. Texted back to say cash only; funny, no reply.

Selling a boat on Craig's list and got a text from this number wanting to pay full price site unseen.  Willing to forward shipping costs as well.  Sounded fishey and asked him to call me...said could only e-mail and text...sounded like a scam to me!!!

Almost identical story text from phone number 515-412-0759.  Both a waste of time.

Gave him my email and got bogus emails from "paypal" saying he was legit, and said we had to wire 900 bucks of our OWN money before we got anything, total scam garbage. DO NOT REPLY TO THAT NUMBER. Total waste of time.

Thank you so much for this webpage!  I just received text messages from this number wanting to buy my truck for his cousin, sight-unseen.  He asked a ton of questions, but before I could answer them all, he replied that he needed my PayPal account e-mail to pay me right away.  It sounded fishy, so I searched the number and found this webpage.  Thanks to "Art" I was able to reply with his own e-mail address to which he replied, "am not here to play game ok".  I asked who was playing games and he replied, "u that is my email".  I replied with a couple text messages that would be too inappropriate to post, but I think he got the picture. Thanks again!

This person wants to buy a camper I have listed on craig list through paypal. I wish I could find and report this person because I don't have time for crap like this.......SCAM FOR SURE 323-364-2078  i ask for his paypal account and ask when he would have the camper picked up..No reply.aint that something.........

I also recieved texts from this person claiming he could only text and not talk. He then told me he needed my paypal info to pay me in full. Thats not how it works. I told him that I needed his email address to send him a paypal invoice for him to pay. He gave me markraymond36@gmail.com.  Before I sent him anything I text back and forth with him trying to get him to say something like when he wanted to pick up boat for sale. As expected, no response. This man is farming info from your paypal invoice to use it for online fraud or to hack your computer, email or your bank info. DONT DO IT!!!!!

Looks like this person is back at it.  I also had a boat for sale on craigs list and got calls from this person, to pay full price, going to paypal me the amount.  Didn't seem legit, so I googled the number, and came across this information.  I was emailed what appeared to be an email from paypal, with a name that said it was verified.  Looked on paypal, nothing in search results.  This is all via text, said he is an oceanographer and can't "talk" on the phone, only text.  I texted and basically said that I looked the number up on google and found that he is a craigs list scammer ... haven't heard back from him ... imagine that.

For Craigslist I suggest "NO Paypal, NO Western Union, NO Greendot, NO Private Shippers, NO checks (the "over-amount" kind). CASH only, LOCAL only." Craisglist scams would vanish over night.

Just put my trans-am up for sale on Craigslist and this number txt me willing to pay the full price, no test drive or anything. Said he had a shipping company and all he needed was my PayPal info. Then I googled his number and found this...lol

Selling boat on craigslist I have got so funny texts from this number. Doesn't carry about price just wants to to send my PayPal account email adderess so he can pay the hole thing seems not right.
