Received a text from Lucas today. Wanted to buy the car from Craigslist for his cousin. First thing he texts is that is this legit? First suspicious activity. . . . then states that he asks questions about the car. Tell him to call and I will answer all the questions he has. Texts me again telling me to provide PayPal info. Told him I do not conduct business that way and I am selling the car so it is what I want. Says sorry and only pays that way. Ignored the message. Nothing more. Beware Craigslist sellers. . . . .

Yeah me too, (323) 364-2125 (am Lucas) where the text came from, beware they are stepping up the scams, especially on CraigsList. One of the first things, "send me your email for PayPal.... blah blah blah... Replied, said sorry, no PayPal Account, cash only, pickup only, didn't hear another peep, or another text....

Thanks for your great information... I know now despite my questions he WAS a scammer... Used the name Lucas and of course no talk just text.. Claimed he wanted me to answer questions to prove I was legit!! It's a shame people like this exist it ruins something like PayPal! :( beware of Lucas!

Getting text about an expensive Craig's List posting I have suspecting me. They won't call just text. Beware! I can't believe the number of scam attempts I get with my more expensive Craig's Listings!

He just texted me too about a vehical I have listed on craigslist. I checked his number before I even replied, and fooud this. Thanks! I replied that the car has sold. If he sends any more messages I'll block him on my phone. Thanks again for this post!

this dude says his name is Lucas and he started texting me n my fiancee today, won't stop and claims to have reported us to the FBI, complete scam. someone needs to get rid of this guy because it's 2013, he's still trying to screw ppl who he thinks are idiots, apparently. also trying to do transactions thru pay pal even after we refused to accept that type.
