Forward calls to Hilton's 800 # otherwise you pay long distance to area code 407.

It shows up on caller ID as "HGVC" which I assume is an acronym for the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. They would be selling timeshares. HGVC is a reputable timeshare but you have to wonder about them when they market like this. Somehow I must have got on their call list. If enough people would call them and asked to be removed from the list, they might get tired of it and get rid of the whole list.

I came out from under the bridge and answered this today. Some idiot on the line with a speil about a great "free" vacation in two or three choice places. all I jhad to do was give them my credit card for " incidentals" and they would send me my airline tickets and hotel reservations the same day. I gave em a fake number - and guess what - They took it for real and then asked from my address, etc etc. Told them they had my # so they should have my address. Then they hung up. BAAAAAA HAAAAAAA - Got cha "

Call the number back and press 1 to speak to an operator about your current promotion - even though you don't have one. Asked to be removed from their list.

I just got a call from this number, Hilton Grand Vacations. I followed Karen's (above 12/5/2012) note, and a polite gentleman named Jonathon said he would input my number to be removed and to allow 72 hours for it to be removed. We'll see how it goes.

CID = Hgvc 1 (407) 722-3516
Caller left no message - now blocked with CallClerk software and a cheap USB modem.
This is the 2nd or 3rd call from these turds, all from different numbers. I'll just keep blocking (and logging!)

This number shows on my caller ID for my business line (they are not calling my house line as yet) as HGVC. I do not answer the phone when I don't recognize the number. They have called me 3 times today and have not left a message in voice mail.

Got 4 calls today that ignored. Got some calls this and last week - no VMs were left. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Agreed - her reply seems way too prepared!

Got a call from the same number. I let the answering machine do its stuff, and they hung up right away. I have call forwarding..so I take one of the nuisance caller, like this one, and forward it to another nuisance caller. Never get repeat calls. They are probably tired if getting calls from each other.
Also used call blocking...works good too, but you have to rotate numbers after awhile.

Continue getting erroneous calls from this number. Blocked
Angelo 2013-12-03 01:54:16 Unknown
They call every other day and do not leave a message. Probably next time I will answer just to ask them why they call and hang up (I know why) and to tell them to remove my number from their list.

Multiple calls from this number. I don't know anyone located in Orlando, FL. This is an unwanted call.

Saved this number to my SCAM phone list which goes straight to voicemail. 15second voicemail left...a couple of people in the background talking about "numbers." I imagine they are talking about their quota's. STOP CALLING ME!
FlaChicque 2012-12-26 18:16:32 Unknown
Received 2 calls from them this morning. Each time they asked for Ms Gersten. Told them it's a wrong number and asked them to stop calling. Lots of background noise.
Ellen Tichich 2012-12-22 21:37:38 Unknown
several calls from this number daily. I do not answer unidentified numbers. Whoever it is never leaves a message.

I have stayed a number of times at Hilton Hotels. But, after not removing my number, i have cancelled my rewards program them with them. I belong to 5 other rewards program and none bother me with multiple nonsense phone calls. If I ask them to stop or reduce emails it happens almost immediately. Hilton must be getting desperate.
They will no longer have me as a customer, so no further need to bother me.

I got a call from this number at 9 PM last night from a robot stating Hilton. I was so pissed that they called me that late. From what I have read, I will go into my Hilton acct and make sure I'm opted out of marketing calls.

They apparently want to sell me something- bc i did not answer and the caller did not hang up. So- I have a few seconds in my voicemail of a manager- in the background encouraging the telemarketer to not to be afraid to ask for my money confidently... well... I recently signed up for the hilton rewards, had a bad stay at a hampton, was not taken care of, and now this... lets just say... Hello again marriott and choice....

ya Chris.....most likely his/her name.....hardly! More likely a Russian immigrant (right, Russian - hardly!!) You know that these pieces of used cat litter use this type of sites to attempt to trick you into clicking on a link, etc. and pretend to be a regular American (European descendant).

I hadn't read the previous comment about calling back to have phone # removed from call list. I just did this and a very polite woman at option 2 said to allow 72 hours to have my number removed. I'll see if this works. Oh, and she didn't ask for my number because it apparently showed on her caller ID when I phoned.

Thanks Karen from Dec 5 2012. Karen's post is right on. I will write back in case these calls do not stop. They are from some Hilton promo department. You have to read Karen's post and follow her instructions if you want these people of your back (and phone)!
Shari 2012-12-06 15:08:45 Unknown
It is the Hilton's Promotion's Department.

It is a call from a Hilton Timeshare hotel in Florida.
Karen 2012-12-05 14:59:45 Telemarketer
It is from The Hilton Grand Timeshare department. I called the number blocked by *67 at first not knowing what the number was that had called multiple times. When I called the number it had several options available including an opt out option. I chose this option and it lead me to an operator. I then had to give the operator my number bc she said it was unavailable by their caller id. (this would make sense since i *67d them) I gave them the number of course so they would stop calling.
I did then go ahead and ask the girl how it was that they obtained my number for the obvious solicitation they were calling about? She said she believed that I must have agreed at some time during a previous phone call to the Hilton for a hotel reservation that I was asked if I wanted to hear about a current promotion? I must have said yes and when I did I was then transferred over to the Timeshare department. Although I did not utilize the promotion they offered me at that time the number was stored for future promotional opportunities.
She said that opting out of the Timeshare portion of Hilton program does not in anyway affect my membership, points or anything else Hilton. It is strictly the Timeshare opportunities.
I then called The Hilton Honors line and spoke to a woman about what had just occurred and she said that the Timeshare calls are not unsolicited. She too said that I had to have agreed at some time to listen to specials and even though I did not take advantage of the deal at the time it still left me open for future calls. She said it could have also been an email special that prompted the calls if it required a phone number to be given. Either way it was something I requested or agrred to in someway
She said while the two companies are the same they are different and have different divisions calling customers or potential customers. All I needed to do was opt out by calling back the number and asking for such.
She apologized for any inconvenience. So far I have not received any calls from Hilton Timeshare division since completing the opt out over the phone.
Hope this helps.
