I had an ad on Craigslist because I have a room that I'm trying to rent. A guy named John Williams, contacted me via email saying he was interested in renting the room. His story was he was coming to jersey to get his masters degree and wanted to rent my extra room. He sent me a check for $3400.00 part of that was for me for the rent and the other money was supposedly for a car that he was having delivered to my address. Well, I got the check today and of course I went to try to cash the check. The check was fake!!! I emailed him as I was standing at the bank and he was still trying to tell me that the check was real!! And told me to deposit it in to my account so he could have the car delivered today. I have someone's information because he had the check delivered by FedEx and this is the phone number that is on the package. I want to do something about this but not sure what to do. Anyone have any advice?

This number is also linked to a Craigslist scam using PayPal . Made a post and someone text me from this number asking me to set up a Paypal account . I saw the scam a mile away and obviously did not set up an account . Decided to google the telephone number and my hunch was indeed correct . This number is plastered all over the web linking it to many scams across the country .

Yeah, same for the Craigslist ad, mine was for Portland, OR. He texted me at 12:30am which I thought was a little weird considering this is supposed to be professional. $550 for a bungalow in a $1000+ area? Yeahokay.

I responded to a Craigslist add regarding a cute bungalow for rent. This guy replied and wanted me to mail him money and he would mail me keys. Total scam. I told him to lose my number. He doesn't even type in proper English. Watch out.

Scammer. Wanted to buy my car and pay via PayPal and said he was a senior officer in the military. What a douche!

This number texted me, wanting to pay me twice the value for some electronics listed on Craigslist.  Wanted to send me money and have items shipped.  Definitely a phishing ploy-- don't fall for this one.

I also got a craigslist rental property reply with this number ("text only"), even though my listing explicitly stated that inquiries were to be made only through another site and direct messages would not be returned.

It's obviously a scan - the grammar would indicate it's someone whose first language is NOT English.... "I am here to know if I can....",  "kindly...."

I looked up the Equity California web site and that number isn't listed anywhere on the site...I wouldn't call it or respond to them in any way....

They call me several times a day and never leave a message.  Not cool.  I signed with Equality California and I'm definitely a huge supporter, however, calling all the time and never leaving a message  is obnoxious.  Not cool.

kept calling and calling. i missed a lot of the calls, but when i did pick up, they hung up right away.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

NOTHING ELSE WILL STOP THESE TELEMARKETERS!

I too was called repeatedly by 323 364 3722 this week. Their answering machine does not even pronounce correctly the name of their company or even ring when I call. I thought a stalker was picking on me.

Ugh. This number keeps calling and never leaves a message. When I picked up finally after multiple calls over several weeks, they hung up. Um, what???

This phone number calls me every day. I don't pick up because I don't recognize them. They NEVER leave a voicemail, so I doubt it is someone I know or something important. This has been going on for months and the calls have only gotten more frequent. Please tell them to stop!

I finally picked up the phone for this one, the guy mispronounced my name, and even though I repeated it back to him, he still hung up on me.  Lame.

didn't leave a mesage and when call retured when straight o vm.  sounded like it was quality california on the message machine???  annoying ppl call nonstop.

It's Equality California

I've received several phone calls from this number, but they never leave a message.  Who is it?

They have called me 4 or 5 times and always disconnect when I answer.  They never leave a message or answers when I call them.  I work at night and the calls always wake me up.

They call me all the time and never leave a message. I don't pick up.  I did sign up with Equality California, so it makes sense, but they really should just leave a message and I'll donate if I want.  Trying to catch me when my defenses are down and calling incessantly do not make me want to help out.
