Sounds like a repeat offender. "Charles Wilson" said he wanted to buy my "item" from Craiglist. I think it is always a giveaway when they don't even say what the item is that interests them. Loser.

Yeah I received the same e-mail from (323)413-7934 and I was kind of suspicious when he asked for paypal. I told him that I would appreciate a call so I know who am I selling my camera to, but scammers don't call. Now I looked up the phone because of my suspicion and I am glad I did it.

This scumbag going by the name of Charles Wilson tried to "purchase" or rather scam me of several photo/video items I was selling on Craigslist.

Craigslist is just full of scammers like him.  They don't just buy, they "sell" a lot, too.  Craigslist doesn't seem to care anymore - you used to be able to get rid of them by clicking on "spam" for example, but that doesn't seem to do anything anymore.  Craigslist actually sucks now.

Same here. A response to my craigslist ad. Undoubtedly a scam.
His 1st msg was:

"Am interested in buying your item, please get back to me with your firm price.

Mr. Charles Hall"


but since I required a phone in my ad, he sent another msg:

The name was Charles Wilson. I could tell by the email that he was a scammer

This number was used to try to buy a lens from me. The name used was Charles Wilson. A hint that this is coming from Nigeria is the message shows up at 3 or 4 am suggesting the time difference between Nigeria and US

Received an email from markemmanuella@gmail.com with this phone number telling me that he wanted to purchase an item from me on Craigslist and he would add $150 to the asking price to cover shipping charges to his son overseas. I told him to send me a certified check for the full amount and once I cashed it, I would send him the item. What a freaking loser; I hope that no one actually falls for these scams!

Received an email from markemmanuella@gmail.com with this phone number regarding a Craigslist item I had for sale.  Obviously a scammer.  Delete.

That number was used to offer me a check to purchase my mobil home. Same thing, will send a check. Thanks Molly, you saved me. This guy is a total Craigs List scammer.

Sending texts stating he will buy a motor in NM and have a certified shipping agent pick it up, after his "certified bank check clears". Craigslist scammers are everywhere!
