I was seller Propellerhead Reason 6.5 for 250. I got a check in the mail for 1850.00 from SOS Property Management where Paul Stone said he works. I contacted my brother in law who is a detective amd said its hard to track because these people kinds dont exist. So I contacted 1st repiblic bank who issued the check and they said that they are working on it. So in the mean time im just leading this guy on trying to get as much info as possible to send in. It makes me mad because good people are getting in trouble for this.

received similar scam BUT under the numbers of 120226700350 and 1645048594 supposed to receive funds today, im going to fallow through, ha not exactly by cashing but by lying, and get the moneygram address and whatnot, and go the feds so they can catch one of these guys. they issue a check for way too much, couple grand too much, then ask you to wire the remainder back since their secretary issued the wrong amount you fall for it, and then the feds track you down for a felony stolen check and they have all your money already by the moneygram and your screwed.

Same situation.  I sent him a name and my address.  Won't try to cash the check but will load the shotgun and wait for the pickup person.  At least I'll cost him some time and expense to send a bad check to me.

Same situation. Asked if I still had the item and offered an extra 30 to hold it. Seemed like a generic message so looked it up and found this page.  This is what I received "Alright, I am really happy to hear back from you on time, I am ready to issue out a money order to you today and immediately you received and have the cash in hand then i will proceed on the pick-up, I will pay for the shipping myself so all i need now is your name and mailing address and the payment will be in the mail asap, i am ready to offer you an extra $30 so you can keep the item for me. I await your text. Thanks. Paul Stone."

Got a text from him asking if I still had the item for sale then he said he'd send a money order to cash and pay me an extra 30 to hold it for him,  glad I saw this.  His name was Paul stone on the text.

I got this same text but never received the funds.

My husband got a text from that number too.  Responding to his post on craigslist. Glad I saw this!

got a text mssg from this #. Name said Paul Stone. Yeah right. Got my # from selling on Craigslist. It's a scam looking to send fake checks for you to cash. beware
