PEOPLE..this debt collector is a IDIOT...he is right about one thing there is no SOL on a government student loan if your status is poor just get a 982 form from the IRS fill out claiming your insolvent and the garnishment will stop garnishing your salary.....

People don't call to collect a debt for fun. You obviously do not pay your debts if they are calling your neighbors. Calling your family is an attempt to get you to understand how serious this matter is and how it can affect your life.
It's a defaulted student loan debt-and don't worry now that you didn't answer the phone or talk to that person, you now will be garnished from your pay check for not paying your student loan.
Congratulations. I hope you enjoy that garnishment for the life of the loan-if you even have a real job that is... 15% of your income monthly will now go to paying your loan off-unless of course you are a federal employee and you will be able to enjoy up to 25% of your wages being taken. You won't ever see a tax return again and your spouse (if you file joint) will feel the governments collection efforts as well. They can put a lien on your home AND don't worry if you are self employed and think you are untouchable-I hope you enjoy litigation.

HA yes, I agree with haha,yeah right.  I too had a call from this number, or I should say my father did.  they were rude to him and threatening over the phone, looking for me. He is a retired 74 old man.  If I wasn't in CA and anycloser to where the number was calling from, somewhere in TX, I would drive down and have a piece of the caller.  I pay my legitamate debts.  When I am being fleeced by the corrupt credit/banking industry It is another matter completely.  Look it up, google it, Freeman strawman etc.  Federal reserve, is a private bank, not govt. controled, You can only become a stock holder if you inherit the stock.  They are the ones who have raped us of our freedom.  100% of your income tax, goes to finace the debt to the fed for being so kind as to print up our money for pennies and then sell it to us at printed value with interest!  What a scam, I mean that is the scam of all scams, and YOU pay for it.  In fact, every dollar in your pocket is a debt to the federal reserve.  It is not Federal, nor is there money in reserve.  Wake UP SHEEPLE!!!

I got a call from this number.  They asked for my husband then when he wasn't here they asked if I knew my neighbors the Jones'  I said yes.  They wanted to know if I knew John Jones the son.  I said yes.  Wanted to know if he still lived there and if I knew if he had a job and if his car was there.  I said that it wasn't my issue and hung up.  I guess they are a collection agency.  But, calling the neighbors now as part of getting funds or items back is ridiculous.  *Name has been changed*
