This number called me and asked for someone named Sarah (this is my cell and nobody by the name of Sarah lives with me or would have my #).  I said they have the wrong number, they argued with me, and then accepted that I wasn't Sarah, hung up - then called me back 5 minutes later and started his same pitch, I said "dude you just called me 5 minutes ago, you got the wrong #," and then he said "is Sarah your mother?"  

Looks like someone got some bad records.  I paid in full for night courses after HS as I took them to avoid student loans.  I'm sure they call some people that owe (maybe the majority), but they are also harrassing people that have no debt (I know for sure)

They get numbers for your family and friend from your social that you provided when you took out the student loan you didn't pay back. It's all legal and you will go to pick up your big tax refund one day soon and it'll be seized or go to get your paycheck and realize 25% has been garnished every time you get paid until its paid in full. Call the company, they will work with you and it's a lot cheaper then forcing them to take it from you trust me I got a lot of bad advice fro people who said they can't do that and they did!!

I am getting calls from this number and also they are calling family members.  I don't know how they are getting their numbers.

Look DCS is a collection agency for Defaulted student loans, your orginal creditor or, if you want to speak in the right terms is LENDER will not have your student loans because if you know the laws... "It is illegal for TWO entities cannot collect on the same debt" and Yes they can take legal action Garnishment/litigation and take your tax returns, because it is a federal debt. And you can look the company up on ED.gov. Look up the faxs before you make assumptions, and if you do have a defaulted student loan pay it...because lets face it...the government is going to get its money one way or another, and I would hope people would want to make a voluntary decision rather than an involuntary made one for them. And if you dont want to be called again, tell them, or call them back and let them know.

I have been repeatedly receiving hang-up calls from (325)224-6618. They never leave a message. From what I've read on the Internet, they are a collection agency for defaulted student loans.  I'm 63 years old and I have NEVER had a student loan.  This "agency" is nothing but a scam.

Both of you need to shut up about "your" tax dollars this and "your" tax dollars that before you are the next one who needs "someone's" tax dollars, the way this economy is going.  Don't think for one minute you are safe.  I made that mistake not once but twice and I got hurt bad.

It has nothing to do with merit, who is good, who is bad, who made the right choices and who made the wrong ones.  I could point out to you any number of rich people who had babies out of wedlock, depended on someone else for their survival, cheated on a spouse, cheated in a business, lied, murdered, molested kids, raped women, stole, and they're still rich.  Sometimes life just throws you a curveball and the screwed-up part is you can do everything right, be a perfect Christian and live by all the rules and you will still fall on your face.  Count on it.  The only sure thing in life is death.  Now when you fall on your face--not if, but WHEN--do you want to have to face the fact that the people you looked down upon for being on welfare or whatever are the ones who are going to be your neighbors and maybe even the people who help you most?  It's called humility.  Get some.

That said, DCS harasses people because it wants money, not because it cares about the taxpayers or because it's capable of taking legal action.  It can only take legal action if it owns the debt.  Go back to your original creditor and ask them if they still own your debt.  If they do, write a letter to DCS and tell them you want your original creditor to service your debt, not DCS.  Send a copy to the creditor too.  If DCS keeps harassing you after that they are in violation of federal law and you can hang them with it.  Good luck.

Hey! Did you ever think that maybe he was telling the truth!  I am getting these calls and dont owe anyone.  Not everyone out there owes debt.  Talk about tax dollars.  Everyone should focus on the welfare system and have it changed.  I believe in helping people but, come on do they really need to live off it forever.  Some people say they make more money living on welfare.  Thats where I get mad that my tax dollars goes to this.  Let it go to well deserved people who are actually trying to get on their feet. Not the ones who are lazy and dont care whether or not they get off ever.

I have received multiple phone calls from "Eve Lawson" at DCS threatening to garnish my wages for $107k in defaulted student loans.  I tried to assure her that she has the wrong person and shared the last 2 digits of MY SSN with her along with my year of birth.  She says if that is true then I have nothing to worry about because the garnishment will be linked with a SSN.  I agree with her that I have nothing to worry about because it's not my debt and told her to proceed with whatever legal action she chooses but to stop calling me.  The calls continue.  What is my recourse for this harrassment?

Question about telephone calls. I keep getting calls from area code 325 by DCS a collection Agency in San Angelo TX. I talked with the Mgt. Asked them to stop calling. Today again I get a call talked with the guy asked to speak with management. He said I have a right to call anyone. I said to him do you want to prove that point in a court of law. ?My Lawyer is hungry can he have you for lunch??

They have been calling me everyday since Jul 2008!.
Now today something really STRANGE!!!

  After the callback I get another call unknown phone number. Next on my phone and on the Telephone Records
    The entire Telephone Transaction Log is ERASED!!!!

  Who is powerful enough to get into the Telephone System and erase telephone logs?
    The Government Police or Federal Agencies? AmDocs with the Billing System?
      Gangsters running operations within the Phone Company or the Mossad.?
 
   The guy did this after I reminded him to remove my phone from the list. I told him
     My lawyer would like to have him for lunch. He said ?We can do what we want?
      I said ?Would you like to challenge this viewpoint in a court of law??

   He then did something after the phone call to erase the telephone transactions  
     Off of my cell phone and off of the telephone logs of the phone company!!!.

   It is now as if the phone transaction did not occur!!

   Anybody have information on who is this Company DCS out of San Angelo Texas?
    They appear to be a collection agency. Looks like a front for something else with
     Ability to modify telecommunications records.

The first call will show the actual phone number and then an unknown phone call comes Next that erases the entire telephone records!!!
Another strange event in August took a trip to San Francisco , Drove to Lake Tahoe. I get another one of these calls here. I  see a guy near me in a hotel. Talking on the Phone said This is the last place the guy is now seen. Someone can come Lake Tahoe and then disappear.  Later took a boat trip on the Lake here again DCS from  San Angelo Texas calls again.  Next day take a hike up to a mountain top again DCS calls me again in the middle of the Forest. Seem like the calls are used to Track my locations. They claim they are a collection agency looking for some deadbeats.  At this point I do not buy it!!

eg. 325-224-6126 look for 325-224-xxxx numbers used many different numbers in the last four digits. This is one of the phone numbers that has called me a lot!!

The Management of DCS is out of Control I urge you to deal with them prior to having To Encounter a  Major Class Action Lawsuit.!!!
