They called two hours ago and there was no one on the line so we hung up. They call day in and day out. I patiently ask them to stop calling. Two minutes ago I received another call from Jim. I again explained to him that I am beginning to feel harassed - that I have requested at least three times this week that they stop calling and remove my number from their list. He began to scream (no exaggeration) at me that they are not harassing me so I screamed back and hung up. We do subscribe to Playboy and do this directly through the magazine - HOW DID THIS AGENCY GET A HOLD OF OUR PHONE NUMBER? We are also on the Do Not Call List - Feeling helpless on how to make these calls stop....very upsetting.

They tried to send me a dirty pic link I believe.  I told them to loose my number or I would report them.  Hopefully they stop.

The caller ID number is not real.  It is "spoofed" (faked) by the telemarketer with a random phone number in your area to make you think it is a local caller when it's not.  You're not allowed to see the real number the call originated from unless you get law enforcement and the phone company to agree to place a trace on your phone line in advance.  Usually these calls originate from out of state or even out of the country to avoid prosecution.

The phone company sells the telemarketer special access to the phone network via a digital ISDN PRI subscriber line to allow them to do this.  Everybody knows this goes on: the phone companies, the FCC, the FBI, the state attorneys general, local law enforcement, the FTC, even Congress passed a law making it illegal in 2009 (see H.R.1258 and S.30).

This will only stop when enough citizens of this country demand their elected representatives force the executive agencies of the government to enforce the law despite the contributions from the telemarketers to their re-election funds.

report scam tired on constant calls. Please look into. They said they were checking on my Better Homes and Garden, I do not get ANY magazines through the mail. Please check into this scam obviously others are also complaining!

Keep getting calls from 330-400-2173, no message on answering machine. Answered 3 different times and no one responded.

Today there were four calls and last week about fourteen calls in three days.  They never leave a message.
Tonight I picked up the phone and told the caller they were jerks and they should not be calling so
often   This is really stupid.  and it was after I went on line to Publishers clearing house and now I
am about to give up on them.   They have gone bad.

I get at least three calls a day from these people. I never answer and they don't leave messages. Is anyone else wondering if there's any enforcement against violators of the Do Not Call Registry? Why did we all sign up for it if it's useless? Really infuriating.

This number keeps calling in an insanely manner. Ten times in one day....come on people get a real job!

I received numerous calls from 330-400-2173.  The last time was 07/23/12 at 4:15 p.m.  She stated she was from Better Homes and Gardens.  When I said no soliciting, she called me a bi*** and hung up before I could respond.

These people called me twice today.  Expecting an important call, I answered the 2nd time.  It was a telemarketer starting off asking how I liked my Discover magazine subscription.  I told him I haven't received that one in at least 5 years, to take me off their list, and not call me back ever.

I have received calls on the same subject before (before I had caller ID, so I don't know if it was the same number then).  They always have tried to get me to re-take a magazine I once used to take, sometimes trying to convince me I had an active subscription.

Numerous call from this number with no response, just silence and then they hang up.

Got 1st phone all at 10am and when I answered herd traffic and a female talking to a passenger then say what the f%%%% and I thought it was a butt dial and then I hung up...just received another call at1pm from same number and the lady asked for jenna brower,told her she had the wrong # and hung up.after reading these messages I will no longer answer these calls

I started getting calls from these 3rd party magazine renewals people before I even got my first issue of my 2yr subscription. They will call and call even if you tell them not to call. Just got off the phone with one of them now after I told her to "never call my *bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep* again yesterday. If you have a magazine subscription, you can just about expect these calls trying to get you to renew through their service instead of using the cards in the magazine or online through the magazine's site.

I just got a call from this number. It is a different number but the same scam as I have heard recently from other phone numbers. I just play along.

They said they were calling from FPS about my Women's Health subscription and that they would offer me a rate of 99 cents an issue. When I said sure, they passed me through to a manager Dawn, who confirmed that rate and confirmed my address (it was not my address). They then asked for a credit card number to confirm. I said I would look at something if they sent it to me in the mail.

The greatest third invention is the Digitone call-blocker. This number (330-400-2173) has called here over 20 times in the past 3-4 days and has been blocked and "hung-up on" every time. Whoever runs this junk is too stupid to know that we never even hear a ring. The only reason I know the number of times it's called is the caller log on the Digitone.

It's 5:30 PM and I just received the 7TH call from this number...got 5 yesterday, so am going to try blocking their calls.  Wish me luck!  I haven't answered any of them so don't know what company it is.

They are sooooo annoying.  They have called 4 times today.

This is a legitimate company which is breaking the law in two ways: They hang up when you ask for a phone number and spoof the number as well. You are entitled to 1500$ per call through your State's Attorney General. If you want to make your case well, pretend to be interested. Then tell them you will buy the magazine as soon as you see it is not a scam. Be nice and just ask for a phone number, the full name of the company so you can check them out. This will help make your case.

I called Charter, which is my phone service, and learned that there is Selective Call Rejection Service, which is free.  Don't know if it's free in all cases.  You just call *60 and it will tell you what else to do.  It will block up to 12 numbers.  So any telemarketers who harass you and who are dumb enough to let their number come up on Caller ID can be blocked.  This is in addition to making the complaint with the Ohio Attorney General.

Constant calls, several daily, from this number for weeks in spite of asking them to take me off their list.  I have filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's office.  I suggest others do that also.

Got calls 5 times in two days.  Playboy magazine trying to get a renewal for their magazine.
