el 08 27 2012 una persona me llamo y sorprendio diciendome que era sobrino de mi esposo y mi esposo escucho y el converso con el dichoso sobrino pero el siempre converso en forma de adivinansas para obtener nombres de familiares pero por alguna rason le dimos informacion de familiares que nosotros no sabiamos que habian muerto cuando investigamos con la familia mas cercana nos enteramos que el sobrino murio mas primero que el tio la segunda vez que llamo para visitarnos le pregunte quien era por que yo sabia que el sobrino yel tio de mi esposo habian muerto

They called me asking for my parents. They said they were my older cousin. I told them that they were at work so he asked for one of my parents cell phone numbers. I know it wasn't my cousin so I just decided to hang up. After that I just felt weird and awkward. I hope it's just a scam though.?

I received (twice) a call from number 1-331-530-3233.  It is a guy from central America saying that he is a nephew of XXX (name of my husband) looking from his uncle.  It seems to be a scam.  How can I block this number?

This man decides to call to my home claiming that he is my cousin and if I remembered who he was.  I had told him "no I do not know you" and he says "who can you guess from your father's side of the family" and I guessed a name and he said "yes, how have you been I'm on my way from Naco, Sonora to where do you live?" like if he had forgotten.  He said that he would be arriving anywhere from 3-4 hours, but he calls 20 minutes later stating that he was in Nogales, Sonora stating that he had just gotten into a car accident and that he had needed money to give to the other party so that they wouldn't report him and go to jail. He gives instructions to send money via Western Union Express and to not say it was because of an accident to avoid going to jail.  He told me to make it out to Oscar Anaya Galvez in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora for $2,100 then raised it to $2,400.  When he called he really knew my family and played it off sincerely.  I found out that it wasn't really my cousin because that same day I had my father contact his sister (who he claimed to be his mother) and she said that this was all untrue.  I had given him my number and address before I had found this out and when he called again my father told him to never bother again or we would contact police.

His scam included that he wanted me to send the money to: Carlos Manuel Mata Guerrero in Monterey, Nuevo Leon.

Carlitos calls from Nuevo Laredo (presumably), claims he is my cousin, got in a wreck, and needs money for the person he hit (damages & injured girl).  The other party in the wreck gives me instructions to send money via Western Union.  The amount started at $1,000, upped to $1,500, and then $2,500.  Sounded fishy.  Asked him the name of our grandfather and the scam started to fall apart.  He did not know the name, claims he was fine, and obviously did not know he is deceased.  Then he hung up.

This guy calls  yesterday (6-23-2012),asking for me. At first he wanted me to guess who he was. I tell him I had no idea. This person claimed to be a cousin of mine(Carlos) from Sinaloa, Mexico. I let the guy know that I didn't know any family members from Sinaloa. As soon as he heard that he hung up. From what I've read from the other postings this is just a big scam.

Llamaron con la misma información de otros post, que era un sobrino y no dicen su nombre para que tu digas alguno, ellos preguntan por el nombre a quien esta el numero de teléfono. son estafadores.
They called asking for aunt or uncle, and say is your best nephew, they want you say the name first. be careful, don't say nothing. Scam. Is not illinois, is from Mexico
