I keep getting phone calls at home and on my personal cell phone stating that they are Baker's Law Firm and that I owe them $286.00 if it is not paid by today that I will be getting arrested tomorrow. I am sick of them calling me I have no idea why they are calling and from what I can see it is a scam... Please take care of this as soon as possible

i got a call too! they told me i was going to jail too and i'm a deputy. just tell them you are going to the police and contact a lawyer. be serious about it when you tell them or they'll keep calling. report them

Be sure and put fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus and notify the FTC. Though they are not able to prosecute the criminals who are making the calls from India, they are going after those in the US who are funneling money to their operation and seizing their assets. I just started to receive these phone calls yesterday but I turned the tables on him. I started calling him back blocked every 10 minutes. He stopped answering the phone and I contacted the police & my lawyer.

I received the same call and they tell me I have to pay or they are coming to my work and arresting me for 30 days until my court date.

I received this phone call 3 times same thing will have you arrested , i don't owe on any loan went to the internet and looked the number up. glad i did.

They did the same thing to me yesterday... I was at work crying even though I know I did not take out a payday loan. They should not be allowed to harass people in this way.... I am closing my checking account today and will be contacting the appropriate authorities...

Thay are calling me 10 times a day with the same bs about lawsuit and getting arested in the am but what is the most scary part of this is they have your address employment and social and name and dob what more do they need to be comminting crimes against all of us. Where are they getting this information from.

I googled the number that called me and found this site,.

The number has been calling me constantly for three days. I answered the first time an a man with a thick Indian accent went into a tirade that I could not understand other than a few vulgar words. I refused to answer the phone the rest of the time.

So, they (or he) has left voicemails today that only said "Get ready to be arreted".

That scares a person!

I called the nujmber back and got the same man and he asked my name..which I did not give..but he was able to use my ph number I assume and knew my name! He then told me the same bs story on here about having taken out a loan and not repaid it and the company had contracted with them and I would be arrested in t the morning! I told him I knew nothing about a loan and that you could nto be arrested for that. He literally laughed and told me to wait and see!

I am calling the l State attorney General for both my state and the state of Alabama in the morning.

I recieved a similar called from them. I am going to report them tomorrow with the state attorney. they just want to get your money.

I just received the same phone call ... he listed all of my information... stating that I was going to jail first thing tommorow if I didn't give him a bank account to set up for payment to some company... does anyone have any advice on how to handle this??? Please advise he stated his name was John Griffen?? Indian accent very strong could bnot even understand the guy!!

My son recieves over 20 calls a day from these people.  Today was the worst.  The guy on the phone actually told my son to s*** his*****. then called him an a***ole when he tried to tell him that he is not the person they are calling for.

I keep getting calls and messages. I was freaking out when I was told I was going to be sued. I am so frustrated that they get away with threating to arrest me!

I received a call today from an Eric Smith saying he's with Baker's Law A**. & that US Cash which is an online payday loan company is sueing me they don't want their money back their counting it as a loss, but they are charging me with fraud, & saying I stole the money that if i give them $200 today they can hold my case open till next Friday for the remaining $526.28.  If I can't give him this today then I will be supeonad tomorrow at work & I will have to go to court & pay $8,484.87.  If I cannot pay that I will be put in jail for 2yrs.  Really!!! How can these people do this?  I called the company that he said was supposedly sueing me & she told me their been getting calls like this for the past 3 yrs. it's a scam & they will tell you anything to get your money.  She also said that the FBI is involved & investigating this issue.  They had me scared to death & crying my eyes out at work.  This is not cool at all, something needs to be done.

They are calling me so I am calling them back every two minutes. Just keep calling them!! They are a scam that uses a magic jack to make these calls! Just start reading the post when they try and talk to you. They pry on people that take what they are saying for real, but because they are calling from accross sea no one can do anything about it. So you need to give it right back to them!

A man and woman sounding like they were Indian called me and said that some company called american cash has a legal case against me so unless I pay them $500.00 at Riteaid, Radio Shack or Walmart today, I will be arrested tomorrow at work!

I hung up on him, then he called back at my place of business and asked for a Supervisor. I put him through and he told her that they had a Criminal working for them !  

I am SO outraged at this that I will be contacting the Attorney General's office Monday Morning and filing a MAJOR COMPLAINT. I have no debt, that's the weird thing about this. They had my Social Security Number
( which I reported as being compromised through Equifax who has alerted the other 2 credit check agencies)

I have also closed my bank account(s) and reopened others, just to be on the safe side!

i recieved the same call from them almost a week ago and then they place me on hold for a supervisor who  couldnt explain who filed against me and the date of the inicident occured but they were quick to say my banks name fast forward to today and i recieved a voicemail stating i will be arrested monday and they had the galls to say that it from jan 2012 with my current bank i said do what u must because the account that they were refurring to i didnt open it until august 2012 im filing a report these ppl need to be stopped asap

I received the same call. I think the guy said his name was Rocky or something.  When I asked the guy to send a certified letter for me and my attorney to look over he refused and told me I would be arrested. Again asked for a certified letter and when Hw got smart I asked if I stuttered because clearly he wasn't understanding me. He then became irate spoke over me about how I was going to be arrested if I didn't handle this situation..I guess he didn't find it amusing when I asked if they were metal or fuzzy handcuffs because he hung up.What a jack***.
