THEY WAS ASKING FOR ANOTHER PERSON THAT I DON'T KNOW WHO IS.  ABOUT SOME IMPORTANT CAR INFORMATION. THEY SAID A VERY GOOD ONE.

This agency has called my home seeking to find my husband's former wife. She has never resided at the home where this telephone number is established. They have now called a second time after being told to cease previously. They disclosed personal information about the debt she owed and that she has a limited time to "work with them". That is quite simply against the law. I am hoping to find a physical address to send a cease and disist letter. My next course of action is to report them to the FTC and NY Atty General. Meanwhile, I am making this report on each and every website which I am able.

Frustrating and annoying!! This number calls BUT No message ever left, and when I do answer-music or no one on line.

I got a call from this number and they left a message on my voicemail saying it was Mary Dean from FIA card services in regards to two lines of business I had with them. She wanted to see why it wasn't working out for me anymore and talk about some new products they had to see if I was interested. She said to call back at 866-520-3621 ext. 7381. What is this all about?

Now I'm getting calls from Bank of America for the same non paying people by the last name Jenkins.  Twice now I have told them to remove my c-phone # from their records.  I understand they are trying to get ahold of the non-pa;ying Jenkins, but when will these credit card companies realize that they have a wrong number.  AND, they keep asking me is I know of the JENKINS after I've already told them the have the wrong number. Somebody HELP!

Got a phone call from 17166566940 looking for mary or maria, told them weong number

A friend of mine was just called (28 Oct 2010) from someone inquiring about her once step-daughter.  She has not seen or heard from this step-daughter in nearly 30 years.  The caller stated that they are from the step-daughter's bank and were looking for the step-daughter. After reading the other messages on this site, I'm guessing this "bank" is Bank of America.  This is rather strange!

They called me today, said it was urgent to call them back at that number.  I did, a man named Mr. Evangelista told me it was BOA credit card dept.  I don't have one, he put me on hold and came back and said it was a mistake and apologized.  it was weird.

Though my phone is unlisted the person claiming to be George Gikes of Bank of America, called today seeking somone else. I told him I did not know who the person was but he did know my name, even how to pronounce it correctly, and an old address from over 10 years ago...Who...what is going on?

2 CALLS THIS MORNING NEVER HEARD FROM THEM BEFORE.  ALWAYS CHECK A NUMBER I DON'T KNOW BEFORE I ANSWERI READ THE REPORTS.

I got a call from this number yesterday 9/30/2010 and she left a message which I could not understand but said we needed to talk because we hadn't spoken since June.  I am behind on my pmts since June or so.  My mom passed away in March of '09 and I had inheritance and used credt cards (cash advances, charging stuff) and she had me take out a loan so she could help support my niece & her two youngsters when niece lost her job.  So, I had to stop helping my niece a few months back and then I started to run out of money a couple of months ago.  I have a stack of letters from Card Member Services from BoA.  I will call her sometime next week, maybe.

This number just called my father in law.  How they connected those dots, I don't know.  But, they said they were looking for me about an unpaid debit issue.  Pretty sleazy calling my father in law.

Called today looking for a woman that they named. I got this number just recently and the phone company told me it had not been used for a year. Said it was B of A, but after reading the posts above, I wonder about that.

Got a call for 716-656-6940, ID says it's Buffalo.  Left no message.

Received a call from 706-656-6940 on my cell this am.  Didn't recognize the number so I ignored the
call.  I Googled the area code and have a friend/co-worker presently in the NY area on family matters.
So I hit re-dial, and the voice message answered "Card Services".  I promptly hung up and Googled the entire number.  After reading these reports, it doesn't surprise me, as I had received a call a couple of months ago from a different number (which was also a collection agency) asking for a name I was NOT familiar with.  I informed them my number did NOT belong to the name they were inquiring for, please get it out of their system.  What is up with this FOOLISHNESS!!!!!!!!!

received a phonecall from 716-656-6940 today.  While I didn't recognize the number I went ahead and answered it because I thought it MIGHT be someone calling from out of state from one of several places I have applied for work--yes, I was hit by the 2009 LAY-OFF dilemma!  When I answered the call, there was no response and when I said hello again, NOTHING.  So, I looked up the number online and ran across this website with others with same experience.  Guess I won't answer the call again.

Yes I got this call also. Didn't answer it. I will pay my overdue accounts but I will be contacting the creditor directly to do this. Don't know whos legit anymore so I guess the numbers on my statements are the ones I should call?

Well, like many of you, I got a call from this number today.  Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number.  They did not leave a message.

I don't know whay BoA wants to talk to me, I don't do business with them.  But you can bet I'll never answer calls from that number, don't want to get in that quagmire.

Got this message on my voice mail.  I had the phone ringer turned off but wouldn't of answered it anyway even if I had heard it.  A woman left a message about an overdue bill for my mom.  My mom is behind on a credit card (FIA  Card Services-long story)  She did state the date of the last payment correctly.   This call came in at 8:48 am and I thought bill collectors weren't allowed to call before 9 am.???

Just received a call from this number and I rejected it then a few minutes later another call rejected that one too. Didn't recognize the number and have been getting alot of calls from numbers I don't recognize using up my time so I have started to reject them. I decided to do a reverse look up on the computer it says Version Landline in NY

I am in financial trouble and have fallen behind in my BofA payments.  They been calling to try and have me make their minimum payments or it will be written off as bad debt at the end of the month.  I have already explained to their rep my situation and they want me to make a lump sum settlement or have the debt be pass on as uncollectable or something like that, which is bad on the credit rating (not sure which is worst).  Anyway, if I can't make the $500 min payment, where am I going to come up with $12,000???

Anyway, they also started Texting.  With message like PLEASE CALL.

I am not sure if they are actually BofA or some outsourced collections agency hired by BofA.  They tried to be as professional as possible, but still using the scared tactic or this offer expires at the end of the week speech.  Just FYI.

This is Bank of America. They are trying to collect on a deliquent account. I am filing bankruptcy due to a loss of job. Beware! do not talk to them. They will then send you a certfied envelope to try to verify communication and residence. Do not sign for it. It will not be labled by them but the Fed EX guy let me look at the envelope. I tracked the address down and found out who it was. Do not sign for it. Best bet that has worked for me....."Who? John Doe, that losey S.O.B., we seperated and he owes me money. I hope that I never here from him again. I think that he screwed everyone. Everybody has been calling for him. Can you guys stop calling for him? I would try to go after him but the jerk lost his job. I just don't care to hear from that jerk again and I am tired of his mess still coming back into my life. The last I knew he moved to California.

got call from this number today left message stating name waw John Seedwater never heard of him before but he was looking for my deceased husband did not answer.

Got a call from this number just now.  Id said New York on it.  They left a message and they started by saying this message was for Robert and then the said my last name.  I don't know any Robert and boy did they have a wrong number.

I got a call from 716-656-6940.  Same as above, I didn't answer the phone because I didn't recognize the number.  Left a message saying that it is a urgent that I call back at 266-667-9462 ext 7792.  Weird.  I don't bank with BofA but they somehow called me on my cell phone.

A person calling from 716-656-6940 and identifying herself only as 'Liz Taylor' called my place of employment today and when informed that personal calls were not allowed on company time and phone, she then asked to speak to my Employer about my personal financial matter with him.  THAT IS TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE AND ILLEGAL. I am reporting the incident to the FTC today!
