I received a call from this number, it is listed on my phone as private name.  When I answered, they hung-up.

INCOMING CALL - EVERY CALL GOES THROUGH AS A HANG UP ONCE ANSWERED - CALLED FROM A BLOCKED CELL PHONE AND IT STATED THAT THE LINE WAS DISCONNECTED OR NO LONGER IN SERVICE WITHIN 10 SECONDS OF INCOMING CALL

This number called my cell 2 times yesterday, I didn't pick up and no messages were left.  I was curious where this call was coming from because 336 is not familiar to me.  I read a lot of information yesterday and of course, got another call this afternoon.  When I answered, I said I know this is a scam, take me off your list, before she could even speak.  The lady replied, this is not a scam, it's just a survey.  I replied, No, it's a scam.  Take me off your list now.  She said You know I won't call you again honey, with lots of attitude!  It was like she was offended that I yelled at her, but come on, she's calling me to "scam" me???  Then I hung up.

Have been receiving calls on my cell phone from this number during the day. When I call back, a voice states 'call did not go through' and then says TWT9. No company name or text message was given. Very annoying.

Same thing happened to me.  Says number is out of service.

SouthNet, which is located in Hamilton, AL, is a small Internet Service Provider with a total of six (6) employees. I know everyone that works for this company and I myself am also an employee of SouthNet. SouthNet is a local
company doing business in Marion, Winston, and Walker Counties. We are not licenced to work outside of this area. WE ARE NOT TELEMARKETS! We are not making these calls! In fact, if you were to actually receive a call from SouthNet (and you never will), your caller ID would NOT say SouthNet. I will not disclose what our Caller ID is, but I assure you, it is NOT SouthNet. The numbers 336-217-0882, 336-217-0875 or any other number with a (336) area code is not SouthNet numbers. If you receive a phone call and your caller ID says SouthNet, then you are a victim of "Caller ID Spoofing". The call back number is most likely spoofed as well. We, the employees of SouthNet, are also
victims of this Spoofing. We have received phone calls from all over the United States from the nice to the really nasty.
Once again, SouthNet Internet Service Provider is not the origin of these calls.
So please, in the future all compliants concerning received calls with the Caller ID 'SouthNet', should be directed to the phone company with which you have your service.

Same story. I missed the call. I called right back. "No longer in service."

Phone rang.. i answered.. they hung up... i called back.. stated that it was either disconnected or no longer in service.

I received a call from this number asking for the youngest male over 18 and registered to vote. My husband was away from the house so they said they would call back.  The next day they called and ask for the youngest person over 18 who is registered to vote.  They said "Would that be you", I said yes and they hung up.  I am also on the do not call list.  I called the Ky.Attorney General and they said they could not do anything about it but to watch my bank account.  SOmeone needs to stop this company

Female told me that "they" are a research company and they want to ask me survey questions about something to do with children, at that point I told her to F*** off, I'm busy! and hung up.

yes i have received several calls from that number on my caller id. I also answered the phone and they hung up. When i called back it said that number was out of order or disconnected. I asked my sister to call that number and she did and it said the same thing. The number on my called id is 336 217 0877. I have had several of these calls.

I have had the same thing, they call and then just hang up...

From Feb. 6-15 I have received morning and evening calls from Southnet. I did not answer because I didn't know who they were. They didn't leave a message. Finally one eve. I did pick up and they said they were a financial company doing a survey and I mentioned all of the calls I had received from them, that I was not interested, and to take me off their list, and hung up. Two seconds later they called back and I did not answer. I have 5 different phone numbers for them and when I called each one back it says it has been disconnected

I have the same problem.  They call and call and the last time they asked for my husband.  The numbers are slightly different and when we tried to call back, it says disconnected.   the guy today was really rude..

When I told the caller this number was on the do not call list, he told me that this was not a telemarketer and he could call. I hung up and filled out a complaint with the do not call registry. Received a call today from this number.  Same as everyone else, when I answer there's nobody there.  Called again and I let it go to answering machine; no message left.  I have been on DNC list for years as well.  If so many of us are on that list, why do we get these annoying calls over and over again??????

They call themselves Pacific Market Research.  All they want is your information so they can sell your information or steal your identity.
They use another number 1-336-217-0874.

I get this call every day at 11:00am. Somtimes they hang up and sometimes they ask for my husband. If I ask what it is in reference to they hang up. Southnet is what shows on my caller ID with the number. I too live in the cleveland, oh area and have been job searching online. I saw a tip from Andy Rooney that says if you get a call where no one answers right away or hangs up it is a computer trying to find the best time of day to call you when they won't get a machine but a live person answers. So if you hear a click they have made note of it and will call you at that same time every day! He suggested pressing the # key several times to scramble their computers, but that has not prevented me from getting calls from this number so far.  I feel your pain!  Grrrrrrr!
