called wanting cc # and money, called back 2x

called wanting credit card numbers, hung up, then they called back, reported to police

Dialers are being used then..  they can plumb in a set of numbers from x to xxxx and it will auto dial. It doesn't recognize unlisted numbers..

This place called my parents' house looking for me (and I haven't lived there for over 10 years), so I have no clue where and how they would have gotten that number with my name, since I obviously don't hand it out as mine--haven't since I lived there. Looks like they're fishing through old records somewhere for names and numbers, seems super fishy.

Just got a call, supposedly collecting for Children's Cancer or something like that.  Noisy, call center sound, was wanting a donation to send children with cancer on vacation as they don't have much time left. Said they were really close to reaching their goal and were taking donations of $100, 75 or 50.  Told the gentleman no thank you and the numbers dropped to $35, 25 or 15. Explained that I donate to charities that I pick and he asked me if I was uninterested in helping kids with cancer.  That's when I hung up.  I always thought Make-A-Wish handled this...
