It is ADT or Home Security Networks something.  Mostly call with a computer wanting me to press 1 or 9.  I just let it talk till it hangs up to waste its time.  But actually had a lady call me this morning.  It went like this, "Good morning, I am with Home Security Networks," CLICK.  Sometimes it asks to press 1 to talk with a rep so I turn on mute and press 1 to laugh at the rep going BLah thanks for blah, and then realizing no one is there saying, Hello sir, hello is anyone there and then you hear silence and click.  Funny every time.  Waste my time, so I will waste a minute of yours.

Received an unexpected call on my business blackberry from a guy identifying himself as a seller of home security services from some home security company (didn't catch it) and asking if I'm a home owner.  When I asked how he got my number, he said "we get our numbers form a variety of sources, are you interested or not?"  I chuckled and said "is that how you sell a product?" and he said "yes".  I asked him to repeat the company name and he said "it's a yes or no question sir, are you interested or not?"  I said, "I might be, how about telling me the name of your company."  He hung up on me at that point.  

It's obviously a scam of some sort.

We receive several of these calls a day. . always the same. . whatever number you press, it disconnects. . Why would I buy a home security system from a bunch of losers who can't even use real people to make their phone calls.  Imagine how their customer service must be. .

Called ADT fraud department on these people.  They are also calling from others numbers to confirm someone is there.  Don't seem to have my address or any other information.  They said they didn't know if anything like that, and they would be investigating the issue....  I gave them my phone number and confirmed I was on the do not call list.

I've been getting calls from this MA number for weeks.  There are multiple numbers that they are using.  They ask you to press 1 if you want information about a free home security system or 9 if you don't.  They hang up when you press either number.  A call back to that number asks you to press 9 to be taken off their list.

They keep calling me!! Three times a day. Maybe one of you should answer my phone and do all that stuff about .380 and such so they leave me alone! I don't even own a home and they want to sell me a security system. Where the heck did they get my number. Make it stop!!! I've asked them to remove me, and they hang up. The next day they call again. Then they call my home number too. It's freaky. I feel like I'm being stocked.

I do the same thing!!  I engage them, find out what city they are in, small talk, then, I know you!  I used to f*** you Mom!  I may be your Dad.  They go off!  I love it!

these people are great to heckle. they are just cold calling random numbers, so they dont have any info on you. have a little fun. tell them that you have a nice sack of crack for them if they come by.
tell them you are interested and then listen to their spiel, but be sure to interrupt them every now and then with some truly offensive turrets talk. pretend they are  a phone sex operator and get them all hot and bothered in their seat, and then they have to call people all turned on.
the possibilities are endless. come up with the most far out things you can think of, keeping them on the line, then give them a fake credit card number and then. you have great chance to ruin the day of a person who deserves it. why pass that up?

Got calls from 339-502-6694, 616-660-2053 as well. Hangs up or lets me connect, then hangs up.

Adrian just called my young daughters cell and wanted to sell me a home security system.  I asked him why he was calling her cell and he said why did you answer her phone, then he Hung Up.

Same problem and I know I didn't sign up for anything strange so no idea how they got my number.  Been receiving calls every few hours.  Hoping after the last one where I spoke to someone they won't bother calling back.

Also got a call from number 616-604-2053 as well as the 339-502-6694.  When the first number called I went through the menu expecting a way to be put on the do not call list but the menu system doesn't offer that option and disconnects automatically.

The first time the second number called they hung up.  The second time some awkward sounding guy called and I could easily tell it was a scam.  It sounds like some college aged kid calling.  He asked me if I was interested in the home security system.  Didn't pay attention to the details but he didn't sound professional at all and in fact sounded like he was making it up on the fly.  As soon as I got an opening to speak I said I only went through the menu system to be put on the do not call list and I was annoyed there was none, also that I'm on the federal do not call list as well.  He said alright and hung up before I could get further.  Report these guys if you are on the list.

Second call today!  Selling security systems from ADT.  Also call from 616 604 2053.

Called them both back -- recording about being removed from list.

Strange, marketing calls from three different telemarketers in two days.

How did they get my number?  Did I sign up for something?

called trying to sell me a home protection system with ADT  and told him I have my own home protection... a .380 that will blow anyones a** off that breaks into my home.  He became very rude and offensive.  I asked to speak to his supervior, he kept asking why? I repeated myself over and over...he then said his supervisor is not there.  I asked then for his supervisors supervisor.  Nope, not there either.  Surprise! Then he says he is the Team Leader and he can do whatever I need done.

Same thing here.  I had one earlier today from 269-288-1180 and now this one.  I don't know how these auto-dials make money or what they are trying to do....
