What business has this number?

Just got a text message on my "pay per call/message/everything" AT&T GoPhone for which only a few direct family members have the number (even my sons' schools don't have it as an emergency contact). $.20 off my balance for a number no one should have access to let alone be sending me crap/SPAM. The blood is starting to boil.

Subject was "Start Building Your Own Business With The Fastest Growing Company In America For More Information, Reply 'YES'."

I'm pissed. This better not become a trend.

Stop calling me.  I keep receiving a message stating I could save on gas & electric bill!  I don't know how they got my number but i would like the calls to stop!!  This is not the only number the are using.

Same with all above but they never called before. I tried texting "stop" and "stop texing me, take me off this list" but so far no results. Any one have luck getting rid of them. So annoying.

Did not answer and looked here for it.  Sprint lets me block messages so blocked anything from this number.

Got the same BS scam text.  Never reply.  If you reply (either Y or N) it only confirms that your cell is a legitimate number and you will receive many more!

How can telemarketers get away with sending messages or calling people who have to pay per call or text? That should be illegal.  I hope no one who receives a message ever calls them back or signs up for whatever they are selling.......This is ridiculous and rude!

I received a text last night as well. After a little research I found out the following.

When I tracked the phone, it was located at latitude: 40.85, longitude: -73.8783

The address is 200- 298 Bryant Ave, Bronx, NY 10474, USA

Phone number in question: 1-347-341-0944

I found online that the number is a land line, but with deregulation on phone numbers it may have been transfered to a cell.

My suggestion is this: Find a site that sends sms texts for free and start send as many as possible to the number that called/ text you.

If you have an unlisted number, call them at 2 in the morning... everyone likes that!

Same thing here. "Savings on bills" blah..blah..blah.. This is SPAM and that is against the law. they should be reported somewhere.

I received texts about saving on gas and electric bill too.  I am on a limited text plan, so I am really pissed about this texts.  These cell phone carriers should give us the option to block a specific number!!!

This number texts me about some bs on "saving on my gas and electric bill." Clearly a scam.
