I received a call from a man, "Ryan Anderson", 530-733-0022, employee ID 11536, from the IRS Dept. of Legal Affairs. He had a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent. He told me that he had a warrant for my arrest and unless I paid them $800.00 now that an officer was 10 minutes away from my house to serve the warrant and I would automatically serve 6 months in jail.

I have retained an attorney but needless to say this affected both my wife and me until we came to our senses.

Got 2 calls from the Indian speaking person who name is supposed to be David Baxter, yeah right, that sounds Indian. Same crap, US Treasury Legal Affairs. I hope he calls when I'm home so I can tell him to f-off !!!!!!  These people are just straight pieces of crap.  

I received one of those calls today saying the exact same thing, though this one was from phone number 213-289-3839 (Los Angeles) Frank Peters (heavy Asian accent) I asked for his badge number he said 2345. He asked me to call his supervisor right away  because I was facing a messy legal issue with the IRS. I figured It was a scam so I got my tape recorder out and called them. When the supervisor, David Williams, told me I owed the IRS a lot of money I laughed and said "no I don't" "for what year?"
"by the way, I'm recording the conversation". He hung up. I called him back from a restricted number. When he answered I said I'm sorry, we got disconnected. He said, no we didn't, I hang up because I'm prosecuting you!
I laughed and he hung up. All this is on my recorder, but I'm not sure what I can do with it

I have received many calls saying his name is Justin Black and he is with the department of legal affairs and has started a case against me that needs to be addressed by me or my attorney or matters will get a lot worse if I dont. This IDIOT has called me from different numbers using different names and a voice that is easy to identify because this indian can not speak worth a damn! After each phone call he says God Bless and have a blessed day! He must be to stupid to find a job and cant find his way out the door so he tries to scam hard working people like us. What a moron this putz is..........

I received a call from Rosario also and then a man a few days later. Both Indian, both from Internal affairs.  We have to divulge too much info these days. If a person has legitimate legal business with you, they send a certified letter.

I received this message on 10/30/13 as well it startled me so I called the # back and it rings then gives a busy tone. I will report this 347-637-6593..I could barely understand the English message but replayed it a few times.  If you owe the IRS contact them directly... I am not sure how these scammers receive peoples data....

SCAM. Do not pay them anything, EVER.
More imprtantly, you will NOT get arrested "at work in 30 minutes" because you CANNOT get arrested for DEBT. If they claim the IRS is coming after you, contact the IRS, and tell them you did,. THEN, tell them you contacted the FBI. (which you should do).

Tell them to have a great day,and that you KNOW they are a scam and tell them that they shame their families by being criminals. They're Indian, so they get all upset about that stuff. Also, if they call frequently, get a loud whistle, or airhorn and blow it in the phone. Loud Metallica would probably work too. Be creative, but NEVER EVER PAY THESE SCAMMERS A DIME!!!!!!!!!!!

Got same call from 3476376593. scam.

I have continued to call and horrass them back finally "David" admitted to me that they were scamming people I asked him why and he said because I can not find a job and I am unemployed! He said please put me on your do not call list and don't call this nber again! I find it funny that they are breaking the law and then want to use the law as protection from annoying calls back!

I got the same call today! Same s***! Asked what the nature if the complaint and asked to speak with MGR they have hung up on me 22 times now and I don't plan on quoting anytime soon Horas them back! The dept of legal affairs does not handle irs issues! The advise the attorney general on legal matters and oversees patrol boards

347-418-0450  called same thing and was told to call 347-637-6593 and the same line was given to me to pay today or i will be taken to court and that they are above the IRS.  Badge #11538.  um ok!

Some man  with a loud  foreign accent left message to say I had better have my attorney call them about a tax matter.  He said have a "blessed day and God bless"you in closing. I called back and  was told it was about not paying my taxes for 2006 and I should have my attorney call them. He said I better do this or I would be facing a messy legal situation. I told him I filed my taxes and he said "you better have your attorney call us" and hung up.  What kind of a scam is this?

Got ours today too.  Anyone know how to stop them?

Got a call this morning from 347-418-0450. My 10 year-old daughter answered and this Justin or Jeff Black gave the pitch to her! I called the number back and got no answer.  It's one thing to pitch this crap to adults- but this is new low!

Received 2 calls.  the first from 347-418-0489,  identifying himself as Chris Evans , from the Department of Legal Affairs, US Treasury, and I needed to call Daniel Rich at 347-418-0450 immediately or face prosecution.  It got my attention so I called the number, no answer and proceeded to look it up as I called.
I hung up.  the initial caller called back and when I told him that the numbers are listed as telemarketers and I would be reporting the names and numbers, he hung up.

I received the same call on oct 18th. Aleesha rosario left a threatening message. I  called back the phone rings then stops.

got the same call saying they was from the irs threatning me by saying im going to jail and my property seize

I received a call from an Indian-accented man who told me that he was from the Legal Affairs Department of the IRS (there is no such department name - I am a tax attorney).  I told him that I would deal directly with my local IRS office.  At that point he threatened to draw up a subpoena the minute I hung up the phone and have me arrested.  He was very threatening to me.  I hung up.  

Got the same call twice yesterday. Justin Black is the name the Indian man said his name was. Remember that the gov employees always add a US or United States when they call.  It's a scam set up to freak you out first thin in the morning. Ignore it. I called the number from a land line and it does not even ring.

i just received this same # with same info about tax , told him some one was working on this he was rude and tried to get information.And i also herd other Indian speaking people in back ground. i ask for supervisor hung the phone up.

I have had the same call three days in a row.  They tried to tell me I was in legal danger due to a tax debt and that I should consult a lawyer or risk going to jail.

received call from 347-418-0450. Is the second call from a Indian accented speaking person I have received - this one a woman the last a man but from 2 different numbers but both saying it was an important legal matter and not to ignore it..... It is a scam
