I just received a call from the telephone number (347-487-1144). This
person claimed to be from Verizon, but the English had a heavy Indian
accent, and I could barely understand him. He seemed not to be able to
hear me well either. He hung up rather rudely.

Fifteen minutes later, I received another call from the same number.
This time the person sounded like he could have been Asian. He informed
me that "Your household has been randomly picked for a new cellphone
with Verizon. I told him that I was not interested and hung up.


Twenty minutes later yet another call from this number. This time the
man on the other end of the line claimed to be from Sprint, trying to
give me a new cell phone for free of course if I switch my provider to
Sprint/Verizon. I told him no, that I was not interested, and not to
call again, I then hung up.


Two days later. I received another call from 347-487-1144. An Indian
man, Same as before offering me a phone again and asking for my name,
address, social security number, etc.. I told them no, I do not give out
any information to anyone especially over the phone. He rudely informed
me that I had to give him my information to take advantage of this one
time offer. I informed him that he was running a scam and it is illegal
to ask for personal information such as he asked for. He very quickly
hung up on me.

They keep calling me and I am not answering them anymore. I did register
my phone number on the do not call list this morning.
