It is ILLEGAL in the US to require someone to pay a "fee", "security deposit", "installment", "processing fee" and other such "fees" upfront to receive a loan. Plus - no one who calls you unsolicited, out of the blue saying you're approved for a loan is going to be legitimate.

Jimmy had been calling me telling me that I am approved for 1000 dollar loan...I showed him a security deposit Saturday which was the 6th and he didn't deposit money....Now it's Monday on the 8th stlii no money.He just caelled me and told me that it wasn't him Saturday and my loan is sitting on his desk and I need to show him another deposit since he claims it wasn't him on Saturday...I cussed him out and told him not to call me anymore....so just beware...I think that he is either Indian or African.
