i received twenty calls from number 3475741264 and 3479336007 and a Dennis and a kevin telling that i owed money to cash advance and that i owed $300.00 and they needed a payment now. When i tried to explain to them i was working they got very nasty and smart. then when i called back they were still smart and nasty and then i owed $690.00 and that it needed paid. i said give me an address and i will mail it to you Kevin said we don't do that and that i had to buy a PRE-PAID card from walmart or some where. WHAT A JOKE AND A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a phone call from 347-574-1264 on my cell and on my home phone number.  The caller knew my last 4 digits of my social security number.  He said I owed for a past due Pay day loan and would be arrested, etc.  I do not have any pay day loans so I knew it was a mistake.  I told the caller this, he said I could stand befoe the Judge and tell it to him.  I answered that I would be happy to do so, and hung up.  He continues to call.  Very frustrating.  I have put a fruad alert on my credit, banking and important financial information.  The caller had a heavy foreign accent.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

I just got the same call on my cell phone. He said he was Mike Henry. He had an extremely heavy indian accent. He said if I don't call back I'll lose my job. I didn't understand a word he said. I hung up and google this number. I started reading all the responses. Glad I did. I'll let the secretary know if he does call tell him I don't work here.

Keeps calling at work swearing at me. Isn't there anything we can do about these nasty phone calls?

Got a call from this guy stating he has to talk to me or my attorney and then staes he doesn't need to speak to attorney.

I continue receiving calls from this phone number. The have very thick Indian accents and continue asking for money.  The guy stated i took a $500 loan out from Cash Advance USA on 03/2011 and it was deposited into my Chase account.  I advised him to let me return his call back in a few to have time to speak with him.  However I contacted my bank to find out if such an deposit was every made.  Chase Branch Manager assured me that my Chase account was not even established till the year 2012.  SCAM!!!  I called the guy back and explained this to him, he continued threathen me of going to jail, going against my social (not sure what that meant) and they will contact my job.  He 1st told me the name of the company was PCS Pacific Credit Services, then told me on another call that it was Public Consolidation Services.

This clowned called my job and left a message about a lawsuit against my name and social security number. Wow, do they think that a threat like that can scare me into giving them money? And he spoke fastest than the guy that plugged those Mighty Machine Toys in the later 80's.

He has called me several times! Today it got worse. Over the last few times I have told him to quit calling even called the police department on him. Today he started cussing at me. Called me an F'ing Bi+ch told me that I would regret it because he was going to find me and it wasn't going to be pretty. I take that as a threat? ... Thinking about going to JAG and see if they can do anything about it.

Called my work place 118 times swearing at me and my employees saying he was coming to get us and that I owed him money. Called police.

They called my work today, several times.. Very rude and demanding. Last call told them that if they called again it would be turned over to our legal department and they didn't call any longer.

Man with a thick Indian accent left me a voice message saying his name is Michael Smith (yeah right!) And tjat I need to call immediately regarding a legal matter or they will be turning my file over to the courthouse.  Clearly a scam and I will not be returning any calls.

Love the way they answer when you call them. A simple hello. First if you are a company that's hoe you answer with the company's name. Heavy indian accent. Even called my work & said they will be reliable. They are scammers. Shame people have nothing else better to do but annoy other people.

A caller from this number called my wife's work this morning several times and swearing at the office personal and were very rude.

We wasn't sure what to make of the caller or the number until I did a online search for the phone #.

All I can say is WOW, to how many complaints this number has and usually about the same type of call.

This number is calling and has called for an employee 20 times this morning and harrasing me because I tell him we don't deliver personal calls. Told me he wanted my f______ manager and that it was a legal issue with our company also. All of that in one breath....lol. They kept changing from one person to another when I would say that I can't understand them. Heavy Indian accent with lots of background noise. Idiots.  How can I stop this? I'm about to lose it on them.

This man with foreign accent called saying he had my social security number and would not tell me who he was. He did say he was from CSB or something to that effect. I hung up on him.

The continue to call and harrass, this is a scam, I now have notified the police and they will trace the call. This idiot has called at least 75 times today.

they are calling my job harassing me at the work place. they called my home phone and threaten me and I told them the call was being recorded with the police department on the other end.

Called threatening to call my work and did. Said he was FBI then swore at me and hung up when I asked him anything.

i have called the sheriff's office regarding this guy - he has been harrassing me at work and will not tell me who he is.  an indian accent  he called me over 20 times in a row.

I have received numerous calls from this number. They are very hard to understand. I told him to check his number on line and he would see why so many are sick of his calls, he hung up then.

This is ridiculous they call me atleast 12 times and only have left one message. Did yall call them back

Anthony Davis, with an East Indian accent and much chatter in background from other spammers, indicated that my SSN has been attched due to my failure of payment.  But of course he cannot disclose over the phone...

This is a scam.... It's the same voice as "David Smith of the PCS Law Firm" at 347-474-9901
