keep getting messages from this payday lender. is this place legal or a scam

File a complaint here. Takes about 2 mims and can be submitted online. The more complaints they get about 347 spam texts, the better it will be. It's a hassle I know, but if you answered the test with STOP,  ( as I did ) then I'm afraid you've just set yourself up to get more spam.

What the hell is this.. unfortunately, i did text back to "stop"! I also called back the number and left a message, telling them that to remove my number off their calling/text list, didn't leave my number, but i'm pretty sure they caller ID.  I'm currently searching the the internet to report this.  My number is on the "do not call" list, and this applies to texts too!

I've recieved several text messages from 347-824-4598 trying to get me to take out a cash advance loan for $1500 and asking me to visit www.MONEY1500.com to apply.

The message also tells me that I can stop the messages by simply replying back with "STOP".  I have replied back to every message but I am still recieving the messages.

One other thing:  I strongly recommend that you NOT reply to their text messages to get them to stop.  As with e-mail spam, that just proves to the senders that your cell phone number (and/or e-mail address associated with it) IS active, and they may say, "Hey, we KNOW THIS number works; let's send them MORE stuff!", more or less.

Like many I have read about on this web page, I have received spam text messages, about 1 a day for the past 4 days, at all times of the day and night.  While the phone number varies, the area code is always 347, New York City, and from what I found at www.wherecall.com, when checking the last two numbers or origin, it's Ominpoint Communications, Inc.  They contain websites you can go to if you want a loan, including www.payday12.com one one text message, and www.cash1900.com on another.  The IP for both is the same:  4.202.189.170, which means they have different names pointing to the same website.  If you go to www.payday12.com, it forwards to www.lincolnheightsfinancial.com, with a bunch of parameters stuck at the end of the web address.  If you go to www.cash1900.com, it forwards to www.trustedcashadvantage.com.  I'm guessing they do this forwarding thing so if someone shuts down the original website you go to, they just open up a new one and forward it to the same one the old one went to.  The two sites I ended up at were different IPs from each other:  198.65.149.237 and 198.104.148.34.  When you try to leave either of the "end" websites, you have to click through two message boxes where they try to talk you out of leaving the website.

In other words, they're doing a lot of fishy stuff.  You can report spam text messages (and a bunch of other things) to the FCC by going to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm .

you can report the number to the fcc as i have. just google how to report numbers to FCC. there is an online for that allows you to report numbers that send you spam text messages. I was very irritated after i received a second text from this number at 4 am! I text them back and let them know i was reporting them. Hopefully this will halp stop, but the more reports the FCC receives the more likely they will be to put a stop to this.

Texting me all the time. Will not stop no matter how many times I tell them to stop.

Crazy stupid text messages to get money

I am going freaking batty with they G.D. text messages.  I keep getting them all night long and all day.  Who is this and why do they keep texting me?  I am sending text to stop but I keep getting them!  RRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Have received phone calls every night around 2 pm from the same numbers 347-681-5006 or 862-452-3918, how can I stop this mess

I am getting the same texts. Not only from this number but from two others. How do you report text messages??

This Number keeps Txting me. I have recived 4 txts from this number each of them say reply "STOP" to not receive these any more and i do yet i am still receiveing them. I even got one that said you have chosen to Stop receiving these messages. To bad for you. you have lost out on a good chance at $1500.00.
