Just got a text from this guy on my vehicle on Craigslist. Glad I checked out the phone number.
Wish I had the time to try to help catch and prosecute this guy.

Hi,
had motorcycle for sale. He wanted sale to go through paypal. gave him paypal address and got a totally fake email stating the money was in my account. So checked acct and of course money wasnt there. the scam part is he sends extra $1000 that you need to wire to Western Union. If someone believes it, they will wire the money through western union and you can kiss ur grand goodbye. Total scam!!!

had call for car I have posted to sell from this same number 1 347 735 8892 and he also used 1 347 842 0952. said he would pay paypal but because of his job he could not speak to me personally.

Yea same here!!! He said he's in the Navy and at sea and his agent will pick it up. Paypal does have seller protection........... but I still dont feel good about it.

I listed my car on craigslist today 3/2/13 and got text from the same #. The text are written as though the person doesn't have a good understanding of the English language. It also asked all the questions I had already stated in the ad. This feels like a scam to me. I do not believe I will be following up on this. I have to many other interested people.

Does anyone have any further information about this individual? I received an email about him wanting to purchase my vehicle. Are there any risks with the transactions if the purchase is made through paypal?

Same guy is trying to buy my car here in E ID Have had multiple txt messaged from him Looks like they dont have any used cars to sell in NY. Says he is a "Marine Enginere presently on sea".
