Receive the same message from a guy name Frank Johnson. How do I stop these calls.

Recieved a call at 6:42am this morning..Got a message from a barely english speaking FRANK JOHNSON..Lmao..he would talk and pause every word he spoke..If i didn't contact them, i was going to go to jail, and my attorney wouldn't be able to help..lol..Hmm..Scam Much?

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

This scam artist keeps calling me a bijillion times a day starting at 7am! this has been going on for weeks. He keeps saying that I may need legal representation but never states where he is calling from or what this is about. When asked he hangs up then calls back in seconds. SCAM ARTIST.

This person called my work number and insisted that he was with a legal firm that was going to take affirmative action if I did not give him at least 2 credit card numbers. I told him that if he was really with a legal firm that he should know my home number and could contact me on that but he continued to insist that this was a great legal matter that was time sensitive so I just hung up. He continued to call back 3-4 times so again I told him that if he truly was with a legal firm he would know that this exceeds the number of calls allowed within a 1 hour period and that if he continued to call I would call the police and report him for harassment. He still continued to call until I contacted my works system administrator and asked him to block the number. These people are freakin' crazy.

I dont know this number and either the person under Adams name. They called and say Im going to be arrested by 7pm  today if  I dont pay $300.00 bla, bla.

dont know who he is i just received a call from him talking about tuition have you checked out any colleges lately
