This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

They tried say I owe them money froma cash advance that I never got. And that i would be sued. Caller said his name is Shawn Collins. Some one needs to stop these scams

received a call from this number, started out with a person saying this call is for you. Never said my name. Told me to have my lawyer call  I am not going to do anything with this as I feel its a big fake

I got a call from this number, telling me I have 3 lawsuits against me, and I need to pay them to settle or I will be arrested, I have not taken out any loans, and these people ask for funds upfront.... Can someone help me? what do I do? I have received a few of these calls, from different numbers and different states.... they all speak Indian and you really can't understand them.... this is one of the phone numbers, 347-960-6517

All this morning, I am getting calls from numbous of different out of area calls, they all speak Indian  and can't really understand them... but they are also threating me to take me to court, and that I will be "served" tomorrow and I will have to get an attorney... Is this a scam???? I am getting nervous with these calls, telling me I took a loan out that I did not, and they all seem to be from cash advance places... is there somewhere I can put a complaint in for this?

yeah im getting this call i dont answer cuz i dont know the number and really dont care lol i had the same thing happen awhile back ago threatening to send out for a warrant for my arrest. i dont answer it goes straight to voice mail.

I get these kinds of calls all the time. I don't answer them anymore. I get calls from all over the country, and some of them are the same people. One call I received was associated with about 20 others. After a while they will not call as much. In two weeks, I was bombarded with, on average of 50 calls a day. I had to filter my calls out, so the phone would only let my favorites ring through. They can be very annoying, but I'm down to about 5 of these calls a day now. There is another scam going around where they call and say they are the IRS and that you owe money and it seems realistic, because the number comes up as the IRS, but it is not them. They demand money and they want you to pay it over the phone or they threaten you with the law. If you get any calls like that do not send them anything. The IRS says that they would never demand payment over the phone. These people have already scammed over one million dollars from people. This was on our local news recently. Also they will spoof the sheriff's department too in order to make their threat more real.

i did that and he got mad and told me i am American stupid hahaha....they r thief's from India and some time they will even tap on police line!!!

I got the same call and I'm not quite sure what it's about. I do know that if you didn't pay a loan back there are certain collection activities that should take place, not someone threatening to arrest you! I've had this happen before and it was a scam!!

its good to hear this is scam, does anyone know if their follwoing through with their threats, they say they are calling your employer or that the authorities show up

I got the same call, saying I owe money to loan company. I called the loan , they I don't owe them anything and it's a scam

I just got a call from this guy as well twice now, said he named a website I went to to try and get a loan that I don't recall and said I owed money of some sort I couldn't really understand him said someone will be coming to my residence tomorrow, does anyone know if this is real? should I be concerned.  nic

Same thing happen to me he says I have 3 lawsuits against me and authorities are coming and apparently the FBI is looking for this guy
