Saturday 8/17 12:05 pm - I recieved a call from "Francis" he said I was in danger of computer virus and I needed to give him access to my computer.I questioned him and we ended up in a heated discussion about his camel "girlfriend". I hung up on him and he was still raising hell. Just play with them if you have a few minutes and waste their time or ask them to hold and just lay the phone down.

Just got a call from this number. Man with eastern accent, sounded like a call center in the background. He said there was a problem with my computer that he needed to walk me through the repair steps.  I told him I didn't believe him, he asked if I believe in God; I told him no. I told him to put his supervisor on the line and he hung up.

I just got the 352-100-8002 call.  My caller ID just has FLORIDA 352-100-8002 so I called back from my Google Voice to find out who it was.  I get free long distance calls within the US however, a recorded GV message said I did not have enough fund in my account to place this call.  So I am sure it is outside the US.  I am so glad I have been on the internet since the 1980's, it instilled a healthy dose of paranoia and guarding my personal privacy.  Back then there was virtually no security.

Its a scam and all they want is your money! They have no way of knowing whats going on with your computer and No legitimate company cold calls like this.  The scam usually entails them taking you to your event viewer which is a internal monitor that logs events on your computer.. Oh sure, you will see the error's logged, but its all a scam to get you to allow them access to your computer. The event viewer is only doing its job and its there for a real tech to look through should you actually have a problem. Then they want remote access! They usually turn your anti virus program off  and give you a big spiel, then inform you they want a small fee to fix it.. several hundred dollars of course! Meanwhile, they have access to all your computer and could be gleaning personal info, downloading stuff to your computer to turn it into a zombie computer to spam folks..

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

Not sure how they're getting our numbers, but same as above, when I told him I wasn't having any computer problems he said that was even worse. He didn't mention windows. When I told him I would ask my local computer guy he said the local guy wouldn't know about it. When I told him I didn't know and didn't trust him and through he just intended on doing something bad to me he said he wanted to help me.

Someone from 801-117-9673 called my sons phone yesterday. I wonder if its the same people.

When you try to call back, of course the number doesn't work.

This guy has called my house numerous times in a row. He then returned to calling the next day, (today) 3 times in a row, I became quite upset at this (middle Eastern sounding Male) when on one call He answered the phone to my hello with, "Do You know where Your daughter is?", I became enraged and introduced Him to some very outspoken and blatant wording not introduced in the dictionary.

I looked up the number at this website. Yea a scam. Here's my call experience.

When I answered my phone, a male voice with an Eastern accent telling me he was calling me about my computer. He needed to talk to the person who owns the computer. He said all computers (I heard that have Windows 8 (and 7?) have a file(s) hidden in them that have a very dire virus.

"Please go to your computer and turn it on. Is it on?" Why yes it is.....[no it wasn't], he told me 99.9% of the steps to take and when it got to the end... I couldn't fake my way so I told I was running late for work. He will probably call me back on Monday!

He lead (I wrote down) from Start menu to 'Event Viewer' > Custom Views (left click 2x) > Admin event (left click 2x)> in middle of the page - I should see (if they were there) 'red cross' and/or yellow triangle ( warning). That is where I stopped because he kept asking what are you seeing. I couldn't fake anymore. Though I think I might have asked, what do I do if I see these? At that point, I was ending the conversation cuz I had to go.....

**I got the steps because every time he asked, "What do you see?" I answered, "What should I be looking for?"

Received a call from this man who didn't speak English very well. Very hard to understand and there was background noise.  Said he was calling about my computer to help me fix a problem so that it would not shut down.  I asked if someone had called him asking for help and he said no that is why we are calling you because you have a computer with windows on it and there is a problem that will affect your computer and shut it down.  I tried to tell him I was not interested-he interrupted and said he needed to help me.  The 2nd time I said no thanks and just hung up on him.  Could not understand the name of the company.

I got two calls in a row from this number. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a voice message. I called back and it plays a message on a foreign language which I don't understand off, then switches to English and French saying the numbers hasn't been assigned. Sounds like scam for me

Just got a call from this number but didn't answer.  Left a blank voicemail.  After reading Crystal's post it appears that the guy is on the prowl to scam somebody.  I'm in Sacramento, CA with a 916 area code and NEVER answer calls unless I recognize the number.  Too many idiots out there looking to waste my time and rip me off.

Received two calls from this number yesterday. I picked up on the first call and heard a male voice with an Eastern accent telling me he was calling my about my computer. I began yelling at him to never call me again. He asked:" Why?" Because you are a bunch of scammers, I  told him, then I hung up. In the evening, at about 8: 15 PM he called again and left one word on my answering machine: "Hello." I have since blocked the number.
