They call at the number 352-283-7627 if you call back it says they are MagicJack and the only way you can get off the list is to answer the phone the next time they call. The next time they call it's Florida State Troopers wanting a donation. The guy that answers the phone is an aggressive idiot. Obviously he is on commission. So, when they call and hang up and don't say anything and you call back to get them to take you off the list and they tell you that you have to answer the phone in order to get off the list is a crock of s***. This way you will pick up the phone and it will be that idiot with the big mouth. It's a scam. I told him to take me off the list and he said you don't want to give to the florida troopers anymore. I just talked over him and told him to take me off the list. We will see if that happens

It's Magic Jack. If you call back to have them take you off the list they say on the recording that you have to wait until they call back again and tell them. The thing of it is though they never answer when you pick up the phone to tell them not to call. My question is???? WHY ARE THEY CALLING. There must be a reason for it or why would they be bothering. I'm sick of it. If there was any way I could find out who was calling I would drive there and tell them. They call day and night and for what??????????????????????

A charity is exempt from the do.not call list, along with any business you have had with, and political calls. There may be 1 or 2 other exemptions to the do not call list.

Who is associated with this number. They are wanting money for State Troopers.

Yes, yes, yes, they are annoying, but the law is written such that any charitable organization, and that includes the Fraternal Order of Police, are exempt from the DO Not Call registry. Hey... here's a suggestion... don't pick up!

Please have my number removed from all these annoying"make believe organizations" that call  trying to trap poor unsuspecting individuals into donating money to their fraudulent so called non for profit help the world. It is said that only 3% of their collections go to the charities they claim. The rest is in their pockets. They should be taken to court for this sort of thing. There are so many people who really do need help, and because of people like that, we are scared to give to any charities, not to mention the selling of your number the minute you do donate to a worthwhile cause. It makes my blood boil. STOP THE HARASSING CALLS FOR DONATIONS NOW!

I received a call and it comes back to a Magic Jack number.  If he is looking for money from me he better not even call back because he is barking up the wrong tree.  I don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out so he is sucking wind

This number calls me at least once a day.  It is getting very annoying.  I didn't recognize the number, so I never answered it.

The phone company won't support caller ID information for a business with over 100 lines due to the amount of info transfer that would take up on the system.

*Never* give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 90% for themselves and sends 10% to the charity. Best to find what charity they are collecting for, research the charity to make sure it's legit, get charity contact info from an independent source, then donate *directly* to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

In reference to the number 352-283-7627, I have received and received today a call from that number stating that they are from the Miami State Troopers and that they are giving a sticker to put on the car with a donation one would make.  They said with the sticker if a police officer would stop me he would give me a break.  What does this guy think I am, a dumb a**.  He didn't want me to talk and would talk right over me until I raised my voice and told him that he was a scam artist and that the police don't do things like that.  He said, that was my opinion.  I told him it is not an opinion but a fact.  This number is generated by a "MagicJack" line.  No "Fund Raising" company does that.  They also receive calls from their phones in case they have a call for a donation.  Law Enforcement should look into this and arrest these clowns.  They are using law enforcement name for illegal purposes and making people NOT trust if real law enforcement would happen to call anyone.  Also they are telling people that it's ok to commit a crime (traffic violation) if the sherriff's star is on the vehicle because the officer would not do anything. Are these people crazy?  It seems so.  I also told them to remove my number but I expect them to call within a few weeks again.  These are thieves and I am sure that many unsuspecting citizens will be scammed by them.  I really hope someone would do someting.  Maybe the news can help and get the word out.

Am on the Do Not Call list.................  yet keep receiving calls from this number!  Something should be done about this fraudulent company.

Calls have been received on the landline the past three evenings between 5:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. with no answer and then automated "good bye" or automated "please hold the line as we attempt to connect" and then  "good bye" after approximately 30 seconds.  Not sure what they want, as this number is on the Federal Do Not Call List and is unlisted.

Yes, I told him I was not interested and to take my number of the list and he got sarcastic and replied that they do not use a list that its computer generated. So I put it to him in another way "do not to call and I was not interested. I then proceeded to call the number to speak with management to have my number removed from their system. I was not able to get through. The number on my called ID displayed Gainsville Florid when I dialed 352-283-7627 the recording was an advertisement for "magic talk.com", it went on to say "... the magic number you called has not been assigned to a customer."
If this was a legitimate not for profit organization, the org would not be using rude telemarketers and clearly would display their organization name including list org name and address instead of hiding themselves behind a 3rd party phone service company. So don't be fooled and report them to the BBB.

got a call, answered, just kept hearing thak you for your time.  tried to call back, got a message that the magic jack number had not yet been assigned.

I answered and all I could hear was someone talking about being fired from their job...sounded like maybe the TV. Then they hung up.
