Someone contacted us from Craiglist with a cat. They didn't pay up front and said they 'Forget their cats litter box." When they left they left the number above, and they have been gone for two about 4-5 hours. Interesting stuff.

call came in 5/12/2009 saying received a so-called email from me from DCS. number when called says it is no longer in service!

This number is one used by the state of Washington as a caller Id but they are actually calling from another at there office. They do not want the public to know there actual phone number do to harassment to them at there real numbers. other municipalities such as city employees also use this system.

I get calls from this number from someone that works at Kitsap County Sherrifs Office. It is a local line for them to call Skagit Valley,

I, AGAIN, got a call from this number looking for someone else. I, AGAIN, told them that I have had the number for over 3 years. Apparently, they don't pay attention, they just try to call again some other time.

How do I get this number to quite calling my home. I have received atleast 50 calls from 360-336-3383 today, I'm really tired of them calling. What can I do to stop this. HELP.

This number shows on caller ID when you are receiving a call from a state/government office. For example, when WSDOH calls me from Olympia (or DOE calls from Everett, etc.) they use a special line for long distance calls (possibly to avoid long distance charges?) and this number appears on your phone. I deal with dozens of the agencies and am very familiar with this number on my caller id.

Was a call from Department of Revenue in my case. (I talked to them.) Was a very nice lady (Sonia) who was calling about a situation with our excise taxes. This number seems to be a portal as described - when she gives me a number to call her back at, it is a Bellingham, WA number (where the office is) instead of a Mount Vernon, WA number.
Answer the phone if you see them calling because they likely need to talk to you, unless you're into tax evasion. If that's the case, don't answer!

I got a call from this number yesterday and it was a 360 number, which was in my area. I don't know who they are, but I do wish they'd stop calling.

Mou could stand for Mount Vernon - the city of which this landline exchange goes to.

I have received a few calls from this number lately and when I return the call it is a disconnected number. I understand that it is a State of Washington number designed to make long distance calls local for whichever state office is calling per your post. The problem is that the caller is simply hanging up after 30 seconds or so and it is very annoying if not disturbing.

This number, and the accompanying JARGON (SOW-DIS-TSD-MOU) for the caller id, belong to the State of Washington. The FED and State government have the ability to "originate" a call in your local calling area to eliminate long-distance charges. For example, if you are in the armed forces, and if you have the code for NAS Whidbey Island, you can make a non-toll call from ANY enabled US Dept of Defense phone in the world to ANY phone number that is "local" to the Whidbey Island exchange -- of course, it is strictly for official gov't business, right? This number is similar, only it is the State version and belongs to the State of Washington. The originating office picks up their phone, dials the number, and the automated phone system from the State of Washington will assign it to the "local" exchange to route the call. In Skagit County, this number is 360/336-3383. If this number appears on your caller id, you are receiving a call from SOME department of the State of Washington; Child Protective Services (CPS), Dept. of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Dept of Rev (DoR), Dept. of L&I, State Patrol, State Treasurers Office; heck, maybe even the Governor. Hope this helps . . . . A previous post has question marks about the MOU portion of the i.d. It refers to Mount Vernon, the exchange from which the call is routed through.

This is an exceptional class of jerk with the Bellingham office of CPS. This number is not on his business card, but is the caller ID report for several phone calls the guy has made in an attempt to call me.
Sorry, but I won't rat out a friend unless there is real abuse.

This number is for the Washington State Department of Revenue. I have a business and the agent that I am working with called me from this number. But when he left a call-back number it was different. Possibly a back line number???
| JJ 2008-05-20 01:03:58 Unknown |
They called me looking for someone else that I don't know. I tried to "google" the caller ID name, best I can surmise is:
SOW = State of Washington
DIS = possibly "district" or possibly "Division Information Systems"
TSD = Training Service Division
MOU = ?????

Calls made to phone and when called back only a disconnection notice is given. Looked through a friend and found the general area of the calls are from Mt. Vernon.
