Got a call tonight and it appears to be a valid opinion survey on the upcoming election in Virginia. I went through the whole thing and there wasn't any hidden ad or biased questions. They provided an opt out number at the end of the call: 888-255-8219. That number gets the following hit on google: http://elkhurstcomm.com/.

Signed up for DNC with this number. Firm called during dinner time. I'll follow the advice given in the first message. This firm is likely telemarketing something and using the "opinion poll" loophole to abuse the public.

just got a call from them tonight (at least it was same #).  REcording said " ...Tom from Elkhurst communications ..."

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating telemarketing calls, a possible violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.
