It sounds like you're being "worked" by a desperate debt collector. "Amy" is using a very old intimidation tactic in the hope that you'll call them. "Amy" is, most probably, attempting to collect on an invalid, time-barred or fictitious debt. At best, "Amy" is a minimum wage stooge for a Junk/Zombie Debt Buyer (JDB). At worst, "Amy" is an outright fraud.
Garnishment is ordered by the court. AFTER a hearing. You will be served a summons long before any legitimate discussions of garnishment can be made. The mere threat is a violation of the state & federal regulations governing the lawful collection of debt. As is the threat of a lawsuit unless a suit is actually going to be pursued.
Research & know your rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). It sounds complex....it's not. Just Google it. Once you're aware of your rights, you'll be of help in putting the "Amys" out there out of work & back on the streets. Where they belong!

My manager at a salon I work at informed me today that a woman named Amy something or other called and asked her if she knew anything about garnishment. My manager said ' garnishment for who?' This woman mentions my name and gives my manager a phone #, a dept # and a case # to give to our payroll dept. First of all, I have not been served any 'Garnishment Papers' and I have absolutely NO clue why I would be garnished in the first place. Is this for real?!

They call and hang up on me one to two times a month for over a year now. I called back once and asked why they were calling me but wouldn't tell me unless I gave them my ss and dob. Of course I didn't.

DCS has called and hung up twice on my cell phone. I have informed via email that one more hangup will be reported to powers that be. I have not received any letter from them so have no idea what they want (obviously money) but tough.

Caller left message.  Said they were offering promo for time share in Mexico (paraphrasing).  Number came thru as DCS Financial.

Its diversified creditors. They list as credit counselors but really they are money grubbing pigs.

3609924100 keeps calling and claiming I have a unpaid debt. However, I had already settled my debt through DCS. I even supplied them with there confirmation number but am still being called and sent letters. I'm beginning to wonder if I ever owed at all.

I've gotten calls from this # off & on for a few years now. In fact just the other day. A couple years ago I called back to see who answered, & I think it's some sort of collection agency. But currently I don't owe anything, so I don't know why they have recently called me.

Who is this? They call and leave no messages.

Also received a phone call from this number with no message.
