I too, just received a call from this company. However, I did not answer it. Look, I pay for Caller ID and part of the perk of having this feature is that I can screen my calls. If I do not recognize the number, I do not answer. If it is someone who truly wants to reach me, they will leave a voicemail.

Most telemarketers, etc., all have weird numbers that are either 800 types or have strange prefixes such as this number: 020-8585. Who has an "020" prefix? I don't know anyone in the city of Calgary who has a number such as this. So that is an instant red flag that something is up and not to pick up the phone.

Whether or not you are on the Canada's Do Not Call list, makes little difference. Telus sells your number to marketers (yes, they do!) and unless you don't want them to you have to leaf through the white page section and find the contact address to send a letter that you do not wish Telus to do this.

But that's why you have Caller ID!!

Called, I answered and it took a moment for them to respond which is usually a sign of once recognition telemarketer software, and said they were from Creative Windows and doors....at 9 pm? Really?

Called w/o leaving a message.

Some guy calling from Creative Windows, tried to tell me that the company was exempt from Canada's Do Not Call List, and that he was following the rules, since they are LOCAL in Calgary. Did a Google Search, and found out that they don't even exist. Called the number back, it doesn't work. I hope he calls back. I'd like to get his home phone number so I can offer him a fake service. I sure hope Karma exists for these people.

Called but hung up when I answered. Starting to wonder about my phone provider as I've never had this many unwanted calls until I switched.
