I got a call from this number as well. When I answered it, there was no sound.  When I tried to call it back I got a recording saying that this number didn't exist.

Received a call from this number. There were some tones like a fax and then a computerized woman's voice that said "Good-bye"

we have had three calls from this number but we do not answer

2 calls from this number and call backs say that the number is not in service.

No reply to my "Hello" then a womans voice on the recording saying "Goodbye"

keep getting a call from this number, yet i am in ontario and its and alberta aera code, and when i tried the reverse  lookup, say no number exits, just wondering who and what is calling and for what reason

This is a call regarding a mobility plan with no obligation.  Do not believe that myself.  
It is very loud and hard to understand what they are saying.  I have had 6 calls in the last week from them and I keep saying no thank you and they call the next day.  
They ask for you to say yes to the offer and give it to a family or friend as there is no cost to you.

I live in Calgary and i have the same problem but i know a friend who almost has the same number maybe she can find out

Wanted to know who owns this number.

Most people have call display. dont answer if you dont know the number. if the person calling is legit then they can leave a message. simple but effective. at no cost to me.

you guys are totally luck they have been calling my house for the past month everyday  2 times a day.. i have even threatened to call the police on them and they still call back its some man on the phone with a thick accent they are from telus... we have even explained to them we dont need there service in a kind manner its gotten to the point where i pick up the phone and cuss them out .. but they will call back later that day... pisses me right off.. im getting the number blocked.. but i have to pay an extra 4 bux but may be worth it....just tired of the same idiot calling me trying to  sell me a so called 'free cell phone'

I have also received a call from 403-277-1848 and a woman answers and after a pause....says goodbye.  Next time I get the call I will try some of the above techniques.   I do feel sorry for the lady who is hearing impaired.....

Got call from this number trying to sell me some kind of wireless service...did not understand person on other end..so I started speaking Finnish to him...he is the one that said goodbye...should not bother  us again...use same technique on other spam callers ...good thing I speak another language other than English!..also put number on my blocked list!

I to receive this annoying call, and to the others I am on the do not call registry call list. Which means squat. My provider is cogeco, digital phone service. Other then paying for the call block service there is nothing I can do.
My annoyance is I am hearing impaired and I have a device that shakes the bed, flashes the lights when the phone, alarm and doorbell goes. Living on a disability income when this machine breaks due to these annoying calls it will be expensive.
I have call display and simply not answering it is not a solution for me!

Got a call today @ 3:45pm...same as all the above ...Long pause then a woman's voice said goodbye. This is friggin annoying.

I received a call a few days ago and had a woman's voice say goodbye, I'm with primus and my phone has a block call service. So I no longer will be recieving the low life's call.

i also got a phone call from 1-403-277-1848 today afternoon at 1:20 pm.
Lat week i picked the phone and after  a long waiting the machine(women's voice) said GOODBYE and hung up.
It is so annoying

I got a call this morning - one of several that have takne  the same form: I answered with "Hello". There was a pause and the caller (a woman's voice) said, "GOODBYE" and hung up. This has been going on off and on for 4 months but this was the first time that calling Bell's *69 got me a number: 403 - 277 - 1848.  When I called Bell they said that the number was Telus' and when, nervously, I called the number directly, I was told by Bell that the number was "out of service". Telus was NO help when I called them! I feel very nervous about this and can't believe that noone can do anything  tho' it is  comforting to reach this site and see that I am being targeted alone.
