Automated caller: "Because you are a valued *Rogers* customer, you will receive 3000 travel dollars.  Press 1 to accept."  I hung up.  This came to my cell phone, grrr.

This is the second time I've had someone from this number call me....no message left...how annoying...

I suspect this is an automated call-back scam. If you press any numbers you are accepting the toll charges associated with the long distance charges and will be billed. Think of it like the 1-900 system. Keep an eye on your cell phone bill and if you see any extra billings you do not recognize be sure to call your phone provider fraud department and get the charges reversed.

just got a call from this number on my cell, have service with bell, live in Nova Scotia. Didn't answer. Not many people have this number, didn't put it on the do not call list. They must be dialing random numbers?

I also received a call from 4035847878 and did not answer.

I got a call from this number today 403-584-7878 on my cell.  I never answered either tried to call it from a land line but I am at an office that does not allow long distance, so the only thing I know about this number is it is not in the Calgary calling area

I missed a call to my cell phone this morning from 403-584-7878.  My service provider is Rogers and I live in Saskatchewan. The caller did not leave a message.

My home and cell numbers are on the "do not call" but I still get these calls, mostly to my home phone. I bought a call block phone so once I've discovered it's a telemarketer/scam then I save it to the block list and it hangs up on them :) That makes me happy.

I rarely get these kinds of calls to my cell phone but glad to have found these details about this number.  Another website indicated it is a spoofed number to trick the caller ID.

I picked up and it says something about being a value rogers customer and offering 3000 travel dollars. to collect press 1.

I keep getting calls from either this number or similar numbers. I usually don't answer them. I can't wait to leave Rogers. BTW I live in Port Moody, BC.

I got a call from this number too...I'm glad I tried to look it up before calling it back!

got a call from this number "because you are a valued Rogers customer... 3000 travel dollars" they asked for my credit card info. told them i wasn't going to give it out and they hung up.

I live in the lower mainland in BC. I JUST got this call. It stated that since I'm special or something, I have received 3000 travel dollars. To accept, press 1.

Of course, I'm not going to accept that. What bull. I would NEVER accept a call that contains an automated message; if someone wants to speak to me, they can have a live person on the phone.

I say all this because I used to be a telemarketer, though I worked at a legitimate company, and I knew that this scam certainly wasn't legit.

Good rule of thumb: if it sounds too good to be true, you can bet your butt that it is!

You call me for I am new to this and will buy anything at any time, for no!   Me no work , me have no moneys yous are stupid to me........................I not answer!

Very annoying!  I've been called about 70 times by some call center in Alberta!!  Can someone

got a call on my cell advising me as a valued rogers customer,i had won 3000 travel miles.  all i was required to do was press 1....i didn't!  i hung up and called rogers who said the number is in no way connected to them.

Received call from this number at 4:18pm. It's an Alberta number.

Recorded message telling me I could have 3,000 travel dollars for being a valued Rogers customer. Ha!

Got a call today saying....seeing that you are a loyal rogers customer you have won $4000.00 in travel money...just press 1 to accept......Can"t anyone do something about these annoying calls ???

Got this call at work claiming I was a value customer of Rogers communication I won $3000 in travel. Nothing in life is free and this easy. So I just hung up.

Got the same call. I want to punch this guy in the face. I hung up and googled the number, and here I am. Did I mention I want to punch the caller in the face??

Received the phone call to my work extension, which is weird because it is not published.

Just got a call I didn't answer but would like to know where they got my number!!!!!.

I have calls from a 778, 604, and 403 area codes..... All scams.  They all end in either 7878 or 8787!
