Phoned our landline repeatedly in Feb. and Match of 2014.  We kept letting the call go to voicemail but none were ever left.  Finally, frustrated with the repeated calls, hubby answered.  The lady at the other end said she's with RBC, and calling to offer us (yes, we do have various RBC accounts) "identity theft protection" for so and so a month.  We told her we are not interested, and to kindly take us off their calling list.  I guess, they did, as we did not get another call from this number again.

Call from  Alberta 403 621 1078 identified themselves as Royal Bank, Fraud of course, Do Not give them any personal info!!!CROOKS!

They ask to you confirm your Name, Address, and Birthday.  Don't provide. it's really like a scam.

They said they were calling on behalf of RBC to offer a new product. Sounded like a total scam, they call at least twice a day. They did this to my son on his cell phone and he told them he knew it was a scam and to kindly f off. They didnt bother him after that, when they call tomorrow I'm going to say the same thing.

Even though my phone number has been registered on the national "Do Not Call list", I too have received a marketing call from this number.  The person also made the same RBC affiliation claims. It sounded fraudulent to me, so I called the bank to report it and was also told this company is not calling on behalf of RBC. It would be nice if the bank investigated and put an end to this.

Says they are calling for RBC but it sounds like a scam and it takes up time and money on your cell phone.  They are very annoying

After you log into your online banking for RBC, look at new files modified by date.  You will se a number of new cookies appeared atvthe time of your online banking session.  They are names like doubleclick...these are from companies that gather information on your purchasing habits etc.  The bank probablyvreceives revenue from these companies for this information...should be illegal for a bank to do this, but they do. You may have blocked cookis only to find you can't log in to banking, so you will need to allow some.  What I do us once my login page has downloaded, I clear my cache...which deletes a number of them.  I find RBC is one of the worst for the number they allow.  Unfortunately being tracked is beyond our control, but this at least helps...shame on RBC.

I listened to their offer and told them that I was not interested (they claimed to be selling some sort of identity/credit protection on behalf or RBC), the lady on the phone seemed annoyed that I was saying no and tried twice to get me to change my mind. Generally with a call from RBC at the end of the call even if you day no to the offer they say thank you for your time on behalf of RCB blah blah blah and this lady did not she just hung up the phone. It seemed odd to me so I called my bank's 800 number and spoke to a representative and gave them the 403 number that had called and she did a search in their system to see if it was an RBC number and it was not. She also did a search for any type of identity protection or credit report and said that isn't something RBC offers. She said this is likely a fraudulent company and DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO!

They called me ten minutes ago and I answered it thinking it might be a job interview. There was only one breath that was taken on the other line, then he hung up. I could tell it was a man by the deepest of his breath. So, I blocked the number.

I was just called here in Calgary.  I didn't know the number so I let it go to voicemail.  They didn't bother to leave a message.  After reading all the above, I'm assuming they are going to be calling again.  Time to add another number to my block list.

For two weeks they called, and called, and called, and called, and called, and called, and called, and called, and called without ever leaving a message.  Last night I finally answered, and no one was there.  Just the sounds of a busy office.

Sick of them calling three times a day. Ive told them stop calling. They harass and its an invasion of my privacy. I did not agree to royal bank passing off my number to solicitors or affiliations of the bank. If anything i would uncheck any boxes suggesting I agree, and would never check off a box to agree to this crap. I want them reported. No means no!!!!!!

I just had the exact same call. Guy on the phone sounded legit but decided to not take his offer. He sounded upset so that was a sign for me it could be a scam. Call your bank.

Equinox marketing calling on behalf of bank, investment, etc. They call me at least two tines a day. Got fed up so I called the number back and got a recording. I followed the instructions to put my number on the do not call list. Hopefully it works and they will stop.

Just add them to your block list or reject list in android. Next time they phone, it will ring and ring and their time is wasted and not yours as your phone will ignore them. BTW ... why would anyone pay $17.95 per month for VISA to protect me against identity theft? That's why I make purchases using VISA as protection is built in! We need protection from the banks scamming us further!

Call is from Equinox. They do market research survey's for Banks, Insurance providers etc.

This is Equinox a marketing company on behalf of RBC offering credit protection if you wish to have your number removed press 1 enter your home phone and thank you, you have been registered on the do not call list with this company.   That's it people, nice and easy at no cost.

Why are you yelling at me over this post with caps?  I thought it was a place to make comments, now, I feel worse with this reponse you have left for me - like I am getting in trouble from some person that I don't even know; when I was simply just sharing information.  I won't ever make the mistake of sharing here again - you have embarrased me.  I HAVE done all of the things you stated in your post BEFORE I even posted here. And,  I NEVER answered the phone.  I simply called to see who they were (on a different number) and left a message to have my number removed and they continued to call, so, I shared my experience with all the others.  Wow!

I, too, am getting many many calls from this number.  Would like it to stop immediately.  

i called up rbc regarding this and they said they are not connected with this company.rbc will report this number to rcmp so they can track them.
