Received a call from this number at 1:10pm, Thursday at Alpharetta, GA.  The voice was automated and in Spanish:-) All I understand in Spanish is 'no habla'. I have Asian last name.  I don't understand why they'd think to say something in Spanish to me:-)))) I just held on and didn't say anything. Call hung up.

I called them back. Nobody picked up.

These people called my phone using my full name and someone else's with my last name. Saying that I should call them back or it would affect that person and myself. I've never even heard of the persons name they stated, so I am no way going to call them back.

what you all need is a iphone and a couple of useful apps. i think they are available for iphones even if they are not jail broken, but im not entirely sure. one app i use is blacklist, it allows me to customize how my phone reacts to individual numbers calling or texting. i can make it go directly to voice mail, have a busy signal, pick up and hang up or do nothing at all ect...  the other app i have is called youmail. with that app you can customize your voice mail messages with records of your choice. i use one that is the same as if you called a phone that is no longer in service, so it appears the phone number is disconnected. there are others like this phone does not accept blocked numbers and many more. it totally sounds legit when someone calls. ive been using it on this number that everyone is talking about, and they have actually still been calling but i assume of some time they eventually will give up.  the youmail app also will give you a more in depth info on the numbers calling.  hope that helps

I got a call from them asking if I was Gloria. I said I was not and they lashed out and hung up. I keep getting calls from them but never answer and they don't leave a message. It's kind of freaking me out. I just got my first phone and the second day I had it they started calling me. When I try to call back it says "if you know the extension of the person you are trying to reach please enter it now... Thank you... Goodbye" then it hangs up. What do I do who should I contact and when!?!?

This number keeps calling my cell. When I called back, they answered with out saying the agencies name. I hung up. Very unprofessional if it is a company. I'm thinking it's a scam!

It is very sad that our government is doing nothing about these stupid/crazy scammers.  Our government is spending billions of $$$$$$$$ on wars, but doing nothing for it's people.  These scammers must be in jail.

that same number called my land line phone.  i have caller id and it came up FRANKLIN,,,i do have call block so i blocked these idiots

Its Franklin Collection Agency and if your getting a call you either owe money from a long time ago or they have the wrong number look up you statue of lititations in your state on a debt then go from there.

I just got a call from this number. I did not answer and they did not leave a voice mail.

404-492-8811 says they are a collection agency for at&t. At&t bogus bill. They got my info said they turned a phone service on and phone service never worked. Then wanted to send out a technician for a fee.They got me to try another phone number the second month, and it never worked. This fiasco went on for 2 months. Then wanted to bill me for it. The name franklin shows on the caller id for collections. I hope this wasn't the real AT&T PHONE COMPANY.

I have received 355 calls from 800 455 0163 and a recording plays saying return the call to Mr. Foster of National Action Debt Collectors. They call all times of the nigh and early morning.Very harrassing. They have multiple 800 numbers with the same recording the numbers vary but the calls come back to back

I have received phone calls from this number. I never answer. But today I called the number back and a girl answered and asked for me I said that the person they were asking for was not home. The girl said that her name was Leah. "It is a scam! BEWARE

I just received a call from 404 492 8811 The caller ID said FRANKLIN. When I called back a young lady answered giving her name as Leah. Very suspicious. Do not answer.

I just received a call from these idiots on my cellphone, and I have spoken with them with several people from time to time, that the individual they are looking for does not, or never will have this number. The chick that called today, could not believe that I was allowed to make up this number by AT&T when I purchased this phone right inside of the AT&T store, I didn't believe it either, but I created my own cellphone number, so the question is how did these morons get this number? I thought they got the message before when I told them no such person is here and she cut me short, and hung up! before I could ACTUALLY tell her what was on my mind. I only answered cause I saw the area code and thought it was a cousin.

Forgot to mention in yesterday's post that the caller ID said "Franklin." I got the same robocall today (If this is Brian R--- or spouse, press 1 now; if not, hang up immediately) only it came from a different number -- 866-779-8954. See my post under that number, too. If the live person I talked with was truthful, this is not TSI as an earlier post said but Franklin Collection Services. He said he would mark it in their system as calling the wrong number but then he hung up on me when I asked for contact information. This is from their website:

They called my land line today with a robocall message: "If this is Brian R---- or spouse, press 1 now. If not, hang up immediately." No option to talk to them if they are calling the wrong number.

As far as I have learned, this guy never had my number though another guy these agencies call for did have my number 2 years ago. (I've had the number a year now.)  If it is Transworld Systems as an earlier post claims, you can find their contact information on-line.

There is an app called Mr. Number.  You can program it to pick up and hang up on any phone number you want.  Then they can not even bother you.  Thank you Sprint for such a cool app!!!

The call I received today and message was the same as Mary.  I got a number of these calls last fall.

Answered a call from this number today. Got a voice recording which said "Press 1 if you are 'so and so' (gave the name of someone who used to work for me); if you are not 'so and so' or the spouse of 'so and so' please hang up immediately.

Probably some collection agency who had this guy's work phone number. The caller ID said:  FRANKLIN

That is SO WEIRD! I just got a call on my cell phone. Unlike most cell phones, I have the kind of Caller ID that does not just show the name and number of only those in your contacts list, but rather it is like land line Caller ID where if the number is associated with a Person's or Business's name, that will come through as well. I answered the call and it was an automated message saying something like this is an important call for Gloria So-And-So, if you are Gloria So-And-So (or a spouse), press 1, otherwise, you are requested to hang up IMMEDIATELY! I am a male, with an obviously male name and had they talked to me, an obviously male voice, so how they got my cell phone number and how it is associated with the name Gloria So-And-So (whom I never heard of) is beyond me.

I just called it back and a man named Phillip just answered. I didn't want to deal with him, so I just hung up. It's definitely a collections agency, based on his greeting.

YouMail is an app for visual voicemail not to block numbers....that's false. The only way you can block a certain number is if you call your service provider. They usually ask you for a very "good reason" and probably some money as well.

I have been receiving calls from this number for six (6) months, never any message left.  
The first time I picked up a recording said "If you are so and so, stay on the line.  If not hang up immediately."  ??????????????
