I recieved a text also but from this number210-306-0260 saying I had won a best buy gift card for $1,000. They also left a place to go to computer but no such place. What a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is beyond ridiculous! I read some of the posts ubove... I don't answer phone calls unless I know who it is... I wait for a message... no message... tried calling the #, got a busy signal... they need 2 leave us alone!!!

I KNOW! that same number called me!! how did they know my name?!

Number 404-567-7775 kept calling without leaving a message. When I tried to call back, the only response I got was a busy signal. This has been occurring for a week now. I was in a department store today at around 5pm, when the number calls my cell phone. I was determined to find out who this person was. I said "Hello?" Then I was greeted by my name being called back to me and the person on the line said that I had won the Best Buy sweepstakes gift certificate contest, to which I applied for online about a week ago (go figure).

However, this was TRULY legit they would have contacted by EMAIL, left a MESSAGE ON MY VOICEMAIL like to actually let me know I had won something, instead of playing the game of "NO, we'll call you, YOU don't call us!"  

The first person I talked to called himself "Jim" and his ID# is 140 He explained to me that I had received a "FREE" 60 day trial of a magazine subscription of my choice (He would send me a list in the mail and allow to me choice which one to pick from). If I didn't want to continue the trial I could cancel, and I would be given a 1-800 number to contact the people in charge of the magazine subscription. Ok so Jim tells me that he is going to transfer to his "supervisor" just to make sure that he did job correctly because he was "new at this" and I should put in a good word for him. So "Derek" gets on the phone (there was no actual transfer process just "Jim" giving "Derek" the signal to start talking (you could tell they were both listening to the conversation). "Derek" asks if Jim did a good job by explaining everything, and I said "Yes, he did a good job." Well "Derek" wants to know my method of payment for the magazine subscription trial, "Will that be VISA or Master Card?". I ask him If I could cancel the trial at any time? He said "Well, I mean they don't want you to accept the Best Buy gift card, then just cancel the next day!" So I'm thinking. . . What does that have to do with Best Buy?! Also, I was supposedly the "winner" right? Its FREE? Shouldn't I be giving my credit info to the people dealing with the magazine subscription? So I decided to test Jimmy and Derek. . . I said I'll be using a Master Card. . . Derek said "GREAT, I need the number, it will begin with a 5!" Then I said, I paused for a second and said "Derek, I really don't have the time right now, I'm leaving the department store. Is there a number that I can call you back at?! Then "Derek" hung up on me. I tried calling 404-567-7775 right back, but not to my surprise, I got the same busy signal. So be warned of the number!

Funny that I just posted that I receieved a text message from a number with a 202 area code telling me I won a $1000 gift card. This number just called me and when I answered they hung up real fast. It hasn't even been a half hour since I received a text message from another number! It's gettig ridic. They call me all hours of the night/day. I feel like I'm being harassed.
