These scammers use dozens of numbers to call.   I've blocked the same group several times during the last 6 months.

The text of the recorded message is as follows:

?The FBI reports a break-in every 15 seconds? ....?Let us place a small sign in your yard and we will install a new security system for free.?

Today, they called my phone from this number:

404-666-4269 which is Bandwidth.com VoIP in Atlanta, GA

404-666-4269 Received call, no message left, called back, recording states, "Please press any digit to be removed from this list"

These folks harvest numbers from craigslist, autotrader, classifieds, social media, etc. If you post a number on the internet they scrape your number and then ad it to their automated dialer. They will never stop calling. Your best protection is use alias numbers yourself on the net, like pinger.com or google voice etc. NEVER EVER post your real home or cell phone number or you will be harassed day and night. With pinger.com I can block them forever same with google voice.

I answered the call it stated there are X amount of robberies a year and if we allow their security company to put a sign in our front yard we can get the system for free. No installation charge, completely free. Press 1 to find out more, Press 2 to be removed from their calling list - I pressed two and they called back twice more within 5 minutes!

Bandwidth.com is the carrier, not the company making the calls.
I got a call from this number too though and just did not answer.

only confirms on this page why I didn't bother answering it.

Received a call tonight (I live in Atlanta) I was going to answer but the call hung up before I had a chance.  After 2 or 3 rings.  I then got another call from the number about 3 min later but after reading the above I didn't answer.   They didn't leave a message

I live in Northwestern Pennsylvania and got the same call today.

Called it back and it was a recording that prompted me to push any number to be removed from the list

Yeah, mine came in on my Google hangouts chat, like it was a web call. WTF?

UPDATE: Did a goggle search on this number and the provider is Bandwidth.com best phone number that I have found is 800-808-5150. Now I'll file a FCC form 1088 on these people to get this crap stopped.

Guess they got tired of calling the house phone and now starting to call my cell phone, unknown numbers are not answered and deleted, then blocked.

recorded msg selling home security system.  end of msg says press 2 to be removed

Got a call, let it ring, and no message. 4 min later i got a call from 813-252-0009. Didn't answer either. Caller ID for the first was Customer SRV.

Female voice started talking during outgoing message of my answering machine. It hung up when outgoing message ended.

I received two calls from this number this week and they left no message both times.

Phishing.  Atlanta number.  I'm in Atlanta.  Didn't answer. No message.

I answered the call because I just got a new number so i wanted to make sure it wasn't family,friends, or business. It was only a recording message that sound so raspy and robotic. It said to press any number to be removed from the list and it could take up to 24-48 hours.

Just got a call a few minutes ago. Didn't answer. No message left.

Just received a call from this number. Didn't recognize the number so I didn't pick up, and no message was left. I'm assuming it's telemarketer or scam.
