Your boss should know if it was a legit bill collector then they aren't allowed to call and harass you at work. I hope you don't lose your job over something that is out of your control.

Fraud... Protect yourselves please don't send any money to these people. Your information has been compromised if you have taken out any of these loans. They have all your information that you provided on your loan application and they are using that to convince you that they are legit. I have been on the phone all day with the F.T.C, States Attorney's Office, Attorney General's Office, and the C.F.P.B. You should make a report immediately and put a freeze on your social security with equifax @18775765734. It is against the law for debt collectors to threaten you with arrest and that is the tactic scammers use.

A lady called me today saying I have two felony charges against me and I had until 3:00 P.M. to take care of this matter or they were going to file charges. I hung up because number one you didn't even tell me what you were calling in reference to. And number two you should give me an opportunity to hear what debt I owe and give me a chance to pay it if in fact it is mine, but instead they start the call off by threatening me. She called right back and left the threats on my machine. It is against our consumer rights to use those scare tactics. I plan to hold them responsible to the fullest. They cannot do this what if it's not even my debt because I don't even know any information except if I don't pay them what they want by 3 P.M. I will be charged and arrested for two felonies. Wow.. these guys are relentless,  im almost ready to get an attorney just to teach them a lesson.  They called up this morning saying there was a case filed against me today . so within an hour they were contacted and now calling me and saying if i dont contact them today other action will be taken.  Amatures

I did know they called over and over again saying that they will be a warent for my arrest due to check fraud? I was confuse. that they will take me to court what is going on

I am just reading these comments today, this is the number I got my call from too.  We paid out loan a couple weeks ago from a man calling from this number. I received a letter yesterday saying that my balance was paid in full from a cash advance loan I had in 2010. My husband called one of his friends who's an attorney about it.  We found our loan copy and let him look at it.  He said it's rare, but on the loan paper it says criminal charges can be filed for the amount of the check plus collection charges from some other agencies.  We just checked the information he had against the loan copy paper and verified them then paid it.  I just didn't need anything like that hanging over my head.  I'm not sure if it's the same as these numbers or not, I didn't even think to look here.  I'd say if you borrowed the money, find out if the account matches and just pay it and avoid all the trouble.  My sister got a call for some rental property she actually returned.  She knew of course it wasn't her.  They had no information and the man sounded like he was from the middle east or something and the phone line was full of static - don't pay then.  Just use common sense.

I received a phone call from this number on my house phone and my cell phone. They left me a message saying that my name came up in a criminal investigation and that they needed to take my statement. They said that i had three felonies against me and that if I chose not to return their call they would see that I am prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I don't know what they are trying to accomplish but I have no felonies against me and I'm not even going to call them back.
