Fake collection agency their telephone service is through global linx they use scare tactics to get you to to pay an old debt or a debt may not be real they'll tell you they will have you arrested if you don't pay which would be illegal you can't get arrested for an unpaid debt as for as I know they use pay day loans as the debt they may say its another type of debt just Google phony collection agency scams and never ever give these people any personal info they also call people and ask if they can have so and so call them its important I speak with them in hopes to get the number of their next victim example: they will call your mother/father who may be listed in the phone book they will scare your parents into getting your number or scaring you into calling them

Thanks for the info. They called me last month stating that I committed Freud and plan to sue. They said I took out a loan with a company called Ace. I never heard of them until last month. I then called ace and provided them with the info and was told it was a scam. I then called them back and informed them of my findings and Ms. Ward stated "for real, I don't know." I will have to talk to my supervisor cuz she know some dude over there in the legal department." I kept myself together but she was
Extremely unprofessional. I then requested all documents pertaining to the loan because you are entailed to everything pertaining to the loan so that you can dispute the claim, the have 30 days to reply and I was told I would receive it in the mail last month but nothing came. However, I did receive a call today with a threat to send a summons to my job so I told them to send away. It was also someone different and when I requested info, he transferred me to the "head supervisor." He then tried to tell me the same thing and I told him what I told everyone else that had called me. He then said i see you know the law and tried to help me out by suggesting I pay the original balance and then I can sue Ace. I told him to take it to court because I will not pay any thing because I didn't take out a loan and don't have any plans on paying something that did not benefit my family or myself. I also told him that if I don't get all the proof when the time comes such as a copy of the ID used, checking info, checks, signatures and video photo, he cut me off and hurried off the phone. So I will wait and see what happens because I plan to fight this and end their careers.

(This message is to myself, and this is so other people can see what I found out.)  I went to the payday loan place in Junction City, KS where I saw the letter posted on the wall by the glass window. I asked the clerk if she would make me a copy of the letter, as it definitely sounded like what happened to other people in the United States, might have happened to me. It reads that there are phony debt collectors out there that are calling consumers nationwide and claiming that they have defaulted on a loan and will be arrested if they don't pay immediately. And, of course, this is what happened to me here. I asked the clerk how she got this paper and she said it was faxed in from somewhere. I called the telephone no. that was on the paper by the window about the suspicious phone call. The no. is 877-382-4357 to the Federal Trade Commission. I talked to a lady there and she asked me about the no. that called my cellphone and I told her it was 404-921-9717. And she asked me what they said the companie'Is name was, I said the "Federal Recovery Group" or "Federal Recovery Agency" (they say when they answer the phone). I even requested a receipt to my email address for my lst $185 they got from my debit card on 12/02/2011 and they sent a receipt as requested to make themselves look so legimate. But the FTC said that they are a phony debt collector and that they have been scamming people all over the United States. They didn't want to even talk long and they said they were filling out a complaint form for me and they gave me a reference no. that I am to forward to my debit card company so I can file a dispute. The reference no. that was used by the Federal Trade Commission on my complaint form was reference #33902316, which I am typing here as information to send to make a dispute to my debit card. This also, might be a good idea for anybody else out there that has just been ripped off by these conartists like I just have been. I had no idea that there was such a thing as a phony debt collector. If I had not went by the payday loan place and saw the faxed-in warning letter, I probably would never have known I did not pay the money I owed to the right person. These people are just pocketing peoples money--it is not going for a debt owed. I even made a police report on Dec.8th but the records are pretty well tied up and not easily available without alot of red tape as I think they are still investigating. I can only provide the lst page of the police report because only it is public record. Again, if anybody out there have been ripped by these people using that name and these names: QCHoldings and Hunter and Associates(on my debit card statement), you need the FTC at the no. I just said. Good Luck and God Bless!

From what I can tell, this companies name is Federal Recovery Group. I had them send a receipt for the money they got from me on my debit card. All called the Federal Trade Commission and they said this is definitely a scam, that they have been ripping people off all over the United States. They filled out a complaint form for me and told me to contact my debit card company to file a dispute and to cancel my card before the next payment goes to the card. Call the FTC at 877-382-4357. Good luck!

First they called my daughter Amelia Moreland Bussen in Rexford, Ks and told her that I had a summons with numbers I guess to be arrested and we did know why I was to be arrested. She called and told me several days later. Then about two days before thanksgiving, I received a call from Amelia about a day later and she told me about the summons. I was having outpatient antibiotics in Manhattan, Ks and was afraid to come back to Junction City for fear I would get arrested for not paying payday loan so i slept in my car that night. I found out that the summons was to be for a payday loan check that I did not get paid in 2009. They even gave the no. of the check and the bank it was written on which I was sure was correct. They said if I made two months payments off my debit card i would be free of being arrested, so I set it up for $185 per month and the lst payment went to the card on 12-02 and was paid, but if this is really a scam I must know so I can cancel my card before next month as I am due for another $185 payment which they said would satisfy the debt. The man gave a confirmation no. to me of #801032 and he said my payday loan check was for $220.00 and the no. of the check was #1259 which all sounded legitimate. He also said he was an attorney for Q. C. Holdings. I did not hear him call it Hunter & Associates but that is what it says the money went to on my debit card statement that i printed off the computer at the library. Also, it said that Hunter & Associates is located in Atlanta, GA, this inform. is on the debit card statement. My email address is roseborntobead09@hotmail.com. Will someone please email me back, and please let me know if I really did not pay this on this bill that i owed. I do know that the loan place was called Quik Kash or Quik CAsh or Kuik cash something like that. I has an office in both in Manhattan, KS and Junction City, Ks and both places do not answer their phones (saying they are out of business) and the office where it was in J. C. has a different business in it now. Please email me back or call me at 785-307-5025. Also, I saw a note in a payday loan place yesterday warning about potential scams similar to this.  Love to hear from you, Rosanna Moreland.

Please call the official company that these guys states the money you owe. Don't give these guys any money! I called Ace Cash because this was the company that I default the loan with three years ago. This loan was paid in full two years later. Now I am receiving these calls at work and on my cell phone. Therefore the fake Recovery Company forced me to call Ace Headquarters in Texas, (look on the inetrnet for the company telephone number like I did. I forgot the number. I called Ace in Texas, and told them that this recovery company is calling me about a payday loan three years ago. The lady stated that Ace no longer have my case that a recovery company has it. The lady gave me the phone number to the REAL recovery company. I called. An representative answered the phone and I told her how I was receiving phone calls from a recovery group about an Ace payday loan. She told me my entire socila security number, current address, correct date the loan was taken out, and the correct amount of the loan. I knew that this was the correct company. The lady looked me up and told me that this loan is paid in full. She also stated not to give those people any money. THESE CALLS ARE NOT FROM ACE. THIS IS A FRAUD!

I keep getting the calls too.  They actually got me for $400 and I had to get a new debit card. After more research I found that they are just a collection agency. The company I got the loan from is probably no longer in business, it was way back in 2008.  But yeah they threaten court summons, and legal action, and it's the same 2 people that call me everytime. I'm glad to find that there are others that know of these people.  Even if it was to really pay off a debt. with the money they got from me, it was payed.......And you were right, they give you some bogus case#, and a large amount that you owe that they magicaly cut in half if you make a payment arrangement.   Wow be careful folks.

This number called me and said that he is calling regarding an investigation agenst me and my social security number. They have called my store manager before and told him that he was a investigator looking for me, then I had to explain why to my manager! This has to be harassment of some kind. I'm not paying for the loan now because of the harassment.

I've been called twice and have never been here when they've called -- just on my answering machine. They want me to call them back (to an 866 #) about a claim filed against my social security number. Obviously, I haven't called them back. I'm registered with the state for the "no call list" -- not sure how to report them or to whom.

They caled my cell phone and left a message for someone else.  Duh, clearly my name is stated on my voicemail recording so why leave a message for someone else?  If they call again I will make it clear that they called and left a message and account information on someone elses voicemail.

Called and asked for my partner, I said she's not available and he said, "Is this ______?"  I couldn't believe he accused me of lying within the 2nd sentence!!
Regardless I don't know why he's calling, but I didn't like his tone and sense harassment coming.  I wish we could find out what he wants w/out having to deal with him.
Never looked a number up before, but I'm glad I did, I sense something wrong w/these ppl.

I keep getting the number calling me saying they are trying to reach someone I know and ask if I can give the person a message.  I know it can't be a PS3 matter due to the fact I don't have a PS3, not even sure what a PS3 is, and I know for a fact that the person they say they are looking for doesn't know what one is either.

When the number shows up on my caller ID it list Hunter and Asso, I googled the name and there are a few different companies with the same name.

I got the call today too.  It's collections BS.   If you feel you don't have anything outstanding, use this letter to send to the company:

http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/debt_validation.shtml

Send that to them.  If they have a legit claim, you'll get a response.  Most of these are just a Name, a phone number, and an amount to be collected.  If they can't prove what the original debt is for (most can't) they have to wipe the record clean and stop calling you.

I owe someone something, but yeah, for those that don't, fight it.  Most people get scared and just pay.  They mentioned my town as the place of legal action, but my town has no municipality, so their info was all wrong.  It's hilarious to me, although I'm sure it terrifies some people.

They are debt collectors trying to scare people by telling them there is possible legal action in the county you live in.  I told them to go ahead and file their case and I would love to go to court.  I am looking into filing a lawsuit against them because one of their employees violated my right to privacy and when I spoke to the boss I was told he would never called again well guess what? He had the nerve to call me a couple days later!  Know your rights!  Don't let them violate your right to privacy!!!
