This person called a relative of mine asking if they knew me.  Mr. Sean Gardner even gave her a reference number. When I called him he stated I owed $1,200.00 from a pay day loan from back in 2008.  Even made reference to my old address! I simply told him that he cannot get $1,200 out of me and he can email me whatever letter he has from his firm. When I refused to give him my mailing address or work address, he claimed that if I do not cooperate he would not be able to offer me a settlement of $810.  I am reporting this to the law enforcement in GA. This type of harassment has to stop! Just because you take out a payday loan does not give anyone the right to try to sue you later on and fraudulently claim that you never paid them back! What will desperate people think of next??

This person called me as well. He said that I could give written authorization over the phone (really?????????????) that was my first clue that this was a scam. I DO NOT EVEN WRITE CHECKS how can I be involved in check fraud?

I received a called from Agent Fox sometime in May of 2011; he said he was agent for the Bureau of Check Fraud agency. He stated that felony charges will be brought up against me if I do not pay for loan taken out in 2007.   Agent Fox said if I did not pay then felony charges will be brought against me and I will lose my job.  He requested I begin making $265 payments every 2weeks, which I have fullishly done!!!  I've already had $1590.00 taken from my debit account!  I've being going through some personal issues and paid this as he wished, fearing things in my personal would get much worse if I didn't adhere to his demands.  I had been asking for documentation from Mr. Fox and had still not received anything.  I googled the name that my account was being drafted from and all kinds of fraud information came up.  I feel like such an idiot.  My health isn't great and I've missed numerous appointments because these payments were taking a huge chunk out of my account.  I feel so sick right now, I don't know what to do except stop them from taking my so calld "last payment!"

This agent fox keeps calling me and saying crap about check fraud. I havent had a checking account in over 8 years. why doesnt he send something in the mail, I have gotten nothing in the mail. is there anything that can be done?

I GOT A CALL A LITTLE WHILE AGO AND THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A MESSAGE.  I CALLED BACK AND THE GUY ANSWERED THE PHONE INVESTIGATOR FOX.  I HUNG UP AND HE CALLED BACK AND LEFT A MESSAGE THAT I WAS BEING INVESTIGATED FOR CHECK FRAUD.  THIS IS A SCAM!  THEY JUST WANT YOU TO PAY OUT MONEY!!!!  THIS IS TWICE I HAVE RECEIVED CALLS LIKE THIS!  CONTACT THE ATLANTA, GA AUTHORITIES BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE NUMBER ORIGINATES FROM!!!

I received an called from Agent Fox on May 4, 2011; he said he was agent for the Bureau of Check Fraud agency. He stated that felony charges will be brought up against me if I do not pay for loan taken out in 2007.  The loan has been paid in full (I have an receipt that loan was paid in full) and when I informed Mr. Fox this, "he said that must have been only the fees and still need to pay him $1,176 to keep it out of court." Agent Fox said if I did not pay then felony charges will be brought against me and I will lose my job.  He requesting first payment be made to him by May 13, 2011 in the amount of $285 and $285 every two weeks until reaching $1,176.
