I have been getting calls for about 6 months now from this number 404-981-6103 however on my caller ID it shows up as 970-177-881 I have called my phone company to block this number however its short one digit and they can not do it. This man claims his name is John Hudson and that I have borrowed money from cash advance in the amount of $400 and since I have not made a payment I now have to deal with his law firm and I owe $845 and if I do not pay it some one is going to show up at my door and serve me with court papers with a court date and time and I will than owe $2,000.00. I told the guy to go a head and send some one out that I will be waiting and that I am also going to be contacting my local police department. I have not received a call since. However 5 months ago I told him the same thing and now he is calling again.

On 1/31/2011 at around 6pm, a man called me claiming his name was Officer Scott Mason calling for Money Cash Advance. He then called me names, cussed and threatened to arrest me the next day if I did not pay him $843.00 for a supposedly a $400 online loan he claims I applied for out online. He knew my social security number, address, full name, email address and last place of employment and said if I didn't pay him the company was going sue me and I would have to pay over $2000 in court charges. Then he had me write down his phone number to call him back which is (404) 981-6103 and said I had to fax him something in writing stating that I authorize the debit in the amount of $843 from a prepaid card or credit card towards my outstanding amount and I ensure the payment won't get declined and I won't dispute this payment along with the date the money will be sent, the card information, exp date, CVV#, billing address, my signature, and attached photo id and to fax to (650) 560-1721. I have since contacted my local police department and filed a report with BBBonline, the FBI, consumer reports online, social security dept., and posted a message to every scam site I could find on the internet.
And since I have received at least 2 emails from individuals stating that the same thing or similar has happened to them. See below:

On 2/8/2011 same situation occurred:
Caller claims there is a lawsuit filed against my name and social security #, threatened to black list my social security and file court documents under my name and social security #. Said his name was Alex Scott, his phone number is 469-718-7315 but on my caller ID it shows 315-551-5643 Syracuse, New York. I immediately phoned the police for whom I previously filed a police report with and added to the report. In addition, I contacted the FTC as well and reported it too.

Hi there-
I have gotten several phone calls for the past 2-3 months from these guys.  Lately one man has been leaving me threatening messages claiming to be Officer Barry Richardson ( I think- he's hard to understand).  At first a couple months ago, they just said to call back or else or the circumstances will "unfold on you, and good luck".....but yesterday he told me he was going to be filing my lawsuit with the courthouse.  Today he called and left a message saying that he would be contacting my employer and if I didn't call back, I would be "behind bars" for 18 months.  That was the last straw for me!  I went straight to the Police Department.  They assured me it was a scam, but gave me no proof. My step-mom found this online and that it was a complete scam and now I have peace about it.  I just want others out there to be aware that this is a scam and you don't have to worry about it!
