I just reported this idiot to the FCC----------three calls this weeked despite telling him to stop. The DO NOT CALL LIST sure does not work.

It's a soliciting service (in this case for Fraternal Order of Police) as some stated above. the best thing to do is use your provider's blocking service if you have that. My 'harrassing calls have started again recently from that number and I've decided to block.

He's with "Residential Programs" out of New Jersey. Read my post above. A good rule is to support your local organizations. Never contribute $ on the phone!!

Got a call from this number at 9 this morning. The caller stayed on the line when the ans machine kicked in but never spoke.
I called the number back and a guy (who called me by my first name, which is not listed) said he was from "Residential Programs", calling for the Fraternal Order of Police and asked if I could support them by giving a donation that would 'help injured policemen, buy bullet proof vests, etc'. I told him if I had money I would donate locally. I asked where he was based and he said New Jersey - sounds real legit, huh? Well, for their part, if I had donated, I would've gotten a sticker for my car! Woo-hoo!
Oh, I haven't rented a car in over 3 years.

Got a call this morning 8/29/12 from the number per caller id. Guy identified himself as Eric Thornton calling on behalf of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, to get donations for police officers. Is this legit?

Called the number back...got some music followed by a sinister
voice that did not identify who or what he/they were about, asking
if I wanted to leave a number to remove my number from thier list. nonsense.
The worst part is that my answering machine went totally nuts after
the call.
