Read the same ad in last weeks newspaper, I got an email reply this morning and go figure it is word for word as what is written below... NICE TRY DUDE, but he is not getting me in this scam.

June 25 the same add was posted in the Palm Springs, CA craigslist.  Exact wording except i have been corresponding with motorbikestransport.org.  These guys are something.  They think all americans are stupid.  Really, I got them to send me a copy of the title.  Turned information over to the FBI in Texas after tracking their IP address.

Found this posting on craigslist same one as all above that I am reading now... I lost my bike in our house fire and was over joyed at the prospect of this opportunity. Thankfully I researched it before hand thank you all for the postings :'(

Same gig in Jacksonville NC, he claims the bike is being shipped to NY and we would only have to cover shipping to our house. He is going by the name of John Stark email: John stark514@Yahoo.com the "movers" email is easymotorcycleshippers@gmail com

Found this A**hole on craigslist saying that they were giving away a honda 1998 vtr 1000 but that it had been moved from baltimore to ohio.but that he could contact dennis at ship my bike,which when I googled it happens to be located in Austrailia.?????This jerk gave the same sad sack story about a dead grandson,birthday gift and it being to painful for he and his wife to look at it.People like this deserve to have their toenails pulled out with pliers SLOWLY.Why haven't the authorities done anything???? We never sent any money and are currently stringing him along,but I don't understand why this is still happening.

I recently almos fell for this except I'm in Texas and all of a sudden the bike was being shipped to Florida but company could turn around and bring it to me for a $350 fee. Something told me not to trust it especially after googling ship my bike and there is a Dennis but email is @shipmybike.com NOT @hotmail. Com and money was to be sent via western union to a man not company! Thanks for posting! Glad I ran into this!

He is now working out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! He placed the same ad in the local Craigs list here for a Free 1995 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe Nostalgia/Specials FLSTN, Trike. He did not get me! I knew right from the start that this was a scam. He had given me 2 phone numbers and they are both Google Voice numbers. I currently got an email out to Google to see if there is any way that they can help with catching this idiot! I know that they can't give me this person or persons information but maybe they can give me information to get something going to catch him before he gets more innocent people to fall for this scam! I am still in contact with this person and do not want to break off the communications yet in hopes that something can be done. I am going to do everything in my power to get this idiot! as soon as I e-mailed the guy he took the post off of C/L.
I asked for more info. and asked him to stop the shipping as her called the moving company on a sunday
yea right.
I told him if the bike was still in town I was only 10 mins. away and would pick it up localy.
Have'nt  heard back.

He is still at it, this time western Kentucky Craig's list. We almost fell for it. My wife was fixing to send the money when we decided to research it first. I'm so glad we did. The name they gave us for western union was John King in Harker Heights, TX we also googled that and found out he passed away in 2009. My son is disappointed but were glad we didn't send them any money.

Yep, Brick is still at it today.  I told him one of his alias' would be contacting him soon.

I just recently got this same add in a PA newspaper.  The story sounded kind of "fishy" when she gave the dead grandson story and it was being shipped from Kentucky to Texas, and the add in PA.  It just so happened that they tried to charge $750 to ship to PA.  I refused to pay and told them to finish the shipment order to Texas, where it was originally going to be shipped anyway. It so happens I have a relative in Houston, TX.   No response to having it shipped there and him picking it up personally in Houston. DONT SEND ANY MONEY!!

Ha - he's just advertised the same "deal" in The New Zealand Herald - Auckland paper Tuesday 3/4/2012.
Nobody actually advertises bikes for sale in the Herald - all on trademe (NZ's Ebay) so looked kinda suspicious.
