Recorded messages says: "This is 800 Credit Services.  Press 1 to be removed".

More digging turns out SuperMedia LLC, which apparently pays the Indian call center to sell superpages.com service to you is in fact contracted by VERIZON!!! Their phone number and location are the same 972-453-7000 - google it!
Call Verizon at 800-483-7988 extension 3 and ask them to stop the calls from India.
Better yet, make a report with the FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm)!

Bingo!!! The "yellow pages" superpages.com company is actually SuperMedia LLC in Texas and their phone number is 972-453-7000 -

Caller said "Hi, this is Max from one click online yellow pages," however, upon questioning admitted that he is from superpages.com, calling from a call center in India, and Max is not his real name. He was unable/unwilling to provide contact information for owners of the business. Call was from a spoofed number so useless to report to the FCC. The other numbers they spoofed in the past couple of weeks were:
307-274-3899, 609-386-0581, 406-224-9787, 909-824-7612, 718-225-1098, 609-877-3740, 607-785-8621, 518-884-0554, 410-902-0908.
They will not take no for an answer and will not stop calling even after yelling at them repeatedly.

These people called me on Friday afternoon regarding a cc debt of over 3000 dollars and they told me that I need to get them paid today or otherwise they were calling the police in my area and that they would have me arrested for non-payment. I told them that I do not have a cc for that amount and that they need to do some more research. He stated that he was tired of this BS and that I will send him the money and I will do it today and if I didn't, that I would be sorry that I did not do what he stated. I told him that I do not owe them a thing and that I am contacted the Federal Trade Commissions and the Better Business Bureau and then he hung up on me.

I agree with you Grant. They called me around 12:43pm on Friday afternoon and told me that I owed more than 3000 in credit card debt and that I needed to wire them the money immediately or otherwise they were sending the police in my area and arrest me on cc fraud. I never had a cc with these people. I have one with my local bank but that is at a lower balance. The guy was rude and very nasty with me and I just hung up on him and reported it to the Federal Trade Commission. Warning.....if these people call you, it is a scam and you need to hang up on them immediately.

Got a call from this number this morning, no answer. It came right inbetween three scam text messages saying things like "This is important! To get a job as a mystery shopper, text 1..." etc. The texts were from different numbers, but I can't help but feel they were connected. Wasting my texts and my minutes!

Just got a call from this number. Caller id says MONTANA. I let the answering machine pick up; they left no message.

Second call in 10 minutes from different service center. All fake calls trying to still your info. Why do people actually answer these calls. Is everyone that stupid. Please stop answering calls from people you do not know. Please spread the word that you are stupid if you answer calls with obvious fake caller id's. If the id looks strange it is fake. Cities do not call , service centers donot call you. Honest companies have real caller id's. Not Partial id's like 800 numbers.

If they are calling your cell phone, like they are mine, I downloaded an app called Trap Call that you can put them on a Blacklist and they get a message that the number has been disconnected and you can find out where the call is from.  It's a life saver!  It also reveals blocked numbers too if someone keeps calling you from a blocked number.

I get calls from many places in the country. I do not answer, but suspect they are the people who want to give me a better rate on my credit card. I am not interested, and told them so once. Also I screamed loudly at one of them, but they just give it to someone in another place hoping I wont recognize it. Please stop this.
