Just got a call from this number, a recording offering to lower my credit card rate. I get a call from this number almost everyday so I pressed "9" this time to speak with a representative and when I said that I was on the do not call list and to take me off, she cussed at me and hung up.

Received call with instructions to press 9 to lower credit interest rate, I did and waited. When I asked what card this was in reference to being that this phone number is host to several cards of different companies, it was said "For all Visa cards". When I pressed for what company it was for and received the same response I knew something was amiss, and asked what company was offering this service. The (very unenthusiastic male) caller responded "Account Services", and I asked again what /company/ was providing this service, and began to mention the DNC registry. Halfway through saying "This number is registered with the Do-Not-Call registry and I would like to be removed from your listings" the individual hung up abruptly.
Sounded like the phone was jostled in a cradle before being hung up, not using a headset. It's a private scam.

The Do Not Call list is a joke! They don't enforce anything. The scam calls are getting worse and worse. Just like everything the government doesn't do. I got this same call a couple of times.

I received this call and looked up the number on the internet to find its source. After finding hundreds of complaints about this number, I filed a complaint with the "Do Not Call" registry and the Federal Trade Commission vis their internet web sites. I recommend anyone else receiving this phone call to do the same.

They wanted to reduce the interest rate on my credit card. Our phone is on the Do Not Call list.

Asked him how many morons fell for 'cold call' debt consolidation and he guy told me that I shouldn't push to call a rep if I "didn't want to f-ing consolidate my debt". Classy.

Got a call saying they could lower my interest rattes on my credit cards. After thye went through the details I asked the company name & phone number & they couldn't give it to me. I would get that onfo from their supervisor after I give them my credit card info & it is determined that I qualify. This was a tip off that the Account Service Dept can't give the name & number of the co they work for??? I said sorry not interested & thye hung up. Definately a scam in my opinion.

I received a call from 407-000-4718 today, 3/5/09. The automated message was there is nothing wrong with my credit card. However, if I wanted to reduce my interest rate press #9. I did, a lady answered and said I pressed #9 to reduce my interest rate. I said, yes and what credit card is this in reference to? The lady hung up!

I have been getting calls from this number also ( 407-000-4718 ).
But since I'm in the habit of not answering calls from strange numbers, I did not answer. caller ID only gave the number, no name was listed. maybe some day I'll answer it, I dunno, but maybe..
OKIE DOKIE..

Just got a call from this number. Said to push #9 to lower the rates on my credit card. When I asked which card, they said VISA and MC. Asked the bank the card the card was from and they hung up.
I am sure this is a scam to get your credit card number.

Very similar to other calls. A recorded message said "This is account services for your credit card. There is currently no trouble with your account. However this is an opportunity to dramatically reduce your interest rate. This is your last opportunity to take advantage of this offer. Press 9 to talk to agent about lowering your interest rate on your credit card now". I pressed 9 and a woman came on the line and introduced herself as Erica. She asked if I was calling about the reduced credit card rate offer. I responded yes and asked which credit card she was calling about. At that point, she hung up.

same as above... I just ask for company name - click. This is really getting ridiculous, I hate big gov., but seriously, lets enforce that do not call list.

Two different lines in my house, with different phone numbers, rang at the same time, from the same number, 407-000-4718. Curious, I answered one. A recorded message said " This is account services for your credit card. There is currently no trouble with your account. However this is an opportunity to dramatically reduce your interest rate to a rate as low as 6.8 %. Press 9 to talk to agent about lowering your interest rate on your credit card now." I pressed 9 and a man who introduced himself as Zack, came on the line and asked "How can I help?". I said "Zack, Which credit card are you calling me about". Zack hung up.

I have two lines in my house, one for busines, the other personal. Both lines rang at the same time, which is unusual. And both lines showed the same phone number: 407-000-4718. So I answered one, which was a recorded message that I could lower my credit card interest to as low as 6.8%. Curious, I pressed "9" as instructed and "Zack" answered. I asked him which of my credit cards he was calling about, and Zack hung up.
