called my number several times, didn't leave message.

Well all of these bad reports about 407-111-1111 above are surprising news to me just as this phone number is also.  When I received the call I saw the number on my caller ID and was surprised - who can't help notice a number with all 1's?  When I answered though I recognized the person on the other end immediately.  Actually it was a technical agent at a company that I have done business for a few years.  I am still surprised though, because this is not the number that I call him or his company at!  In fact the area code is not even the same (though it is a Florida area code).  Maybe this is just plain goofy phone service!  What do you think?

got a call the other day saying that I had won a trip to florida and to press 9 for further details at this I hung up as I remebered something similar going round on the mobiles they take your contact details and use them to steal your ID so be warned UK residents.

Im in  the UK. Got a phone call from this company promising a holiday in Florida\ then nothing for two months they took the money out though within two days. Just been sent some info for the holiday but ther are no proper details to contact them if you want to and you have no way to cancel the holiday and the contact details are all fake, so please be very care folks~

I have been getting calls from this number.  I have been told that it was a scam to access your cell and take it over.  I have not answered and they do not leave a message.  Reported it to my cell provider and that number quit calling.  Now I have this number calling:  386-111-1111.  Interesting.

This is the second time this has happened to me but from a different number.  They call EVERY SINGLE DAY on my stink'n cell phone.  I've missed all the calls so far from both numbers (even though there's been around 30), so if I answer next time i'll tell them to F Off!

Me too they told me that i win 13 days in Florida; i'm a truck driver and i know the Florida but i don't have time to spend there. they told me i'll receive informations by post; i didn't receive anything yet.

I got a phone call from unknown international caller and was told that I won a holiday in Florida. I spent an hour on the phone with these people (silly me!!) and explained to them that I was interested in the holiday but didn't have the money in my account as I hadn't been paid yet. They said they needed some money in order for me to receive the information about the holiday. I gave them my card details but emphasised that there was no money in my account. When they put pressure on I said that I had changed my mind. They said they would refund my money and hung up. The following week I noticed that £200 had been taken from my account even though I had gone to my bank the same day of the phone call and stopped my card. I now hope and pray that I can get this money back! I was conned as I haven't received any information in the post. I know next time just to hang up when I hear that I've won a holiday!!

they phoned us at 7:30, we disconnected the call, but next time we will record the call and post online if possible. We live in Toronto and wouldn't return to florida even if it was totally free, what a s****ole if you aren't in a resort, I'll go to cuba where they understand Canada and love us as we do them.

Well its 8:30 P.M. and they just called for the first time. I love this site and have it close on my computer radar screen. So while the phone was ringing, I actually searched this number on this site..the feedback from everyone is extremely helpful. I especially like Andrew William's comments. In any event, I know not everyone likes dealing with Bell Canada but they have a service called "call blocking" that allows you to input up to 12 phone numbers that you do not want to hear from (no I do not work for Bell and in fact sometimes I find they really are frustrating to deal with). Any way, not all numbers can be entered onto the list as it must be a recognizable number by Bell. In any event, since I work quite a bit from home, I can tell you it has reduced the number of these unwanted calls "substantially". If you are bundled with Bell chances are this "call blocking" will cost you pennies, I know it did for us. When the number is entered on the list, and if the caller calls the house, there is NO phone which rings in the house, but the caller gets an automatic recording to say this person subscribes to "call blocking" and we are not interested, it then hangs up on the caller!! Eventually the caller removes our number from their listing. We really love this feature. We keep track of the 12 numbers and recirculate old numbers with new. It really does work.

I usually don't answer calls from unknown callers but I finally got fed and started just picking up the phone and saying that I'm not interested in whatever they are selling and hanging up the phone. It does not deter them. My next step is the loudest whistle I can find and I'm blowing it right in their ear. I hope I deafen them.

I tried to call the number back to remove me from their calling list but it didn't ring it just hung up
I get automated calling messages about 2 or 3 times a week this passed month I try to call them to get me to remove them from their list but some numbers don't show

10 Oct 2007.  Number appeared on our call display at 15:00 but no message left.  We also are from Winnipeg,Manitoba.

I wasn't home yesterday when they called, never left a message, actually didn't notice they had called until today since they didn't leave a message.

I am in my office, I practice law, and the 407-111-1111 comes up with a press "9", and I am checking them out as they are talking about a vacation.  I came across a website that shows that they have had the domain revoked from cwrpromotions.com, now cwrpromotions.info.

looks like they have creted a deception, and then the supervisor interferred with the call and asked "how can I help you" and tried some authority speak with me, he did not know that I played along, and informed his staff of the investigations underway with this company.

So, he called me an "idiot", and did not get my money for a free promotion.  Big scam to me, and I'd like to find out who they are because they are crossing boundaries of law now that they have called Canada.

Someone who has a fax-line selling a variety of cameras owns that number.  I am sure that they are rightly upset, and should lodge a wire-fraud complaint; unless they are one of the same party.

Got a call this afternoon from 407-111-1111. The free trip thing! I get SO many calls a week from this and many other telemarketing scams. Last week alone, I received a total of 11 calls from various "companies". My number is also not listed, and I really resent the intrusion. I realize that they are simply using a computer generated phone number program, so they don't really care who they call, but there HAS to be a way to stop them. I've tried blocking the various numbers, but that doesn't work because they call using so many phone lines that I'd have to block 50 numbers per "company". Does anyone know where we could send a complaint to?

Just got a call on Saturday morning, didn't pick up and it left a short message saying to please hold because an operator will be with me shortly. Then it hung up.

There is a US phone service that now is able to transmit what ever phone number the subscriber wishes, irregardless of the actual location the call is placed at.  There is a fee involved and to date it is not illegal, the service can be purchased only by US residents SO FAR......

I saved an email from a long time ago about what to do with with these automated calls.  Don't know if it really works but I guess it is worth a try.

What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer !!!

Called at 8:00 a.m. and I didn't answer.  Then they called again immediately after and I answered - they said nothing. But they also left a voice mail from the 1st call during the 2nd call.  When I listed to it, it was the beginning of a French greeting.  I gues they thought because I'm Canadian I didn't understand English and were going to get me some how.  I hate these phone calls!!
