God! I'm tired of this!  Another call using local area code but as I see from above caller it was Winter Haven (it could have been anywhere.) I asked a policeman friend about these solicitations and he told me that the police do not call citizens to ask for donations. Maybe they do somewhere else. I would like someone to explain the process whereby these scammers can use spoofed phone numbers and business names to operate.  It seems businesses and phone companies would complain as these activities can certainly give them a bad name.  Called on Sunday 5:30 p.m. I get multiple calls daily!

Apparently these guys are calling from their homes using either pre paid cell phones or are using the "spoof" phone numbers...

Just for poop and gigggles *67 wait for dial tone and call them back with your phone on mute and listen tot them go into the speil thinking someone is listening to them. It is rather ironic to hear their frustrations at recieving solicited, no response, dead calls... They do NOT like it at all when they are on the reciving end of such annoying phone calls.

This is the Florida Police Association looking for donations... They will NOT remove you from there call list even when told to do so...

The man who answers when the number is called back is frank.....

I got another call from this number, but I did not answer.  If it is the police asking for a donation, I would not donate anyway.  I do not give money over the phone, plus I pay taxes, so why don't they call someone who is just free loading here  the USA. I am on the DO NOT CALL list so they need to stop.

Time 1937 H; Hangs up when the answering machine picks up the call.  Caller ID shows: Winter Garden, FL

they called on a SUNDAY at 1pm.  I didn't answer because I figured it was a scam of some kind.

I do not want calls from thus number anymore. I get several calls a week despite being on the "do not call" list.

They called me and when I heard a man's voice I hung up (I had thought it was a female friend with the same area code). I called the number back and it was Police looking for donations.
