The same thing has happened to me TWICE in one day.. Glad I looked it up on the internet.. Hope they catch them and arrest them..

I am retired police officer.  Even if you have a pay day loan and did not pay it the only thing the can do is take civil action not criminal.  I contacted my local police department and they are running adds on tv about this scam.  He advised me not to answer calls.  I called this a..h...e back and gave him the cursing he want soon forget.  I hope he follows through, because I will file a suit against them.  DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY.  A REAL COMPANY WILL NOT THREATEN YOU WITH CRIMINAL CHARGES ON A CIVIL MATTER. HE CALLED FROM 407-442-7030.

got a call from some Indian guy saying i was to go to wal-mart and buy a prepaid card and send them 370.00 dollars or I was going to be arrested.  I have no pay day loans.  This would be a civil matter and they can not arrest for this.

 I received a call from this same number, the gentleman on the other end of the phone sounded like he was from India and claimed that they were from the State Attorney's Office, saying that I stole money and that I had all these pending allegations.  Being real threatning saying that if I did not pay my outstanding payday loan of a 190 that their would be cops at my door to arrest me.

 My husband called them and let them know he knew this was a huge scam and he knew where these calls were coming from and told them they better stop calling or he would find them.  I have received no more calls since than.  We will see what tomorrow brings.

A man names Dustin called saying he was from the state attorneys office claiming I have outstanding pay day loans. I called places were I had applied and reviewed my bank account and have $680.00..! Dustin asked me to buy a green dot money pack card and call and pay him the 200.00 I owed. I asked what company he was calling from and he stated Cash Advance, the mother of all online pay day loans company. he threatened to call my boss and have a worrent issued for my arrest if i did  not pay him immedietly.

Just got a call from some Asian guy from this number claiming he is George Jackson, Ya right, and I need to call him or have my atty call. I have had these calls before. It's a scam. They claim that I took out a payday loan for $2000 and we can settle today for $250.....SCAM!!!!!

Same here but I actually had two loans that I had paid onn but I called the people I actually haf loans with and they said they would call me themselves and I would never face a lawsuit through them. so it is a scam and thank goodness I know a lawyer who knows it's a scam.

The same thing has happened to me. A foreign man who I could not even understand said there was a lawsuit against me for a loan that I don't even have. They called my work and talked to my boss.

A lady by the name of "Attorney Smith" called my work and stated she needed to talk me about a pending lawsuit against me and my social security number and saying I will be arrested.
There's a guy who keeps calling my phone from the same number and claiming I owe him money
It's a scam!
